Venom STILL steals the show between these two. Both look great though. Carnage actually came out a bit better than I gave it credit for. I'm liking the pose more. It's just such a 'busy' character though visually - not my thing. I like the 'cleaner' look of Venom.

"Just got XM Carnage couple hrs ago. I was a bit worried about texture from pictures, but I'm really happy with the final product in hand. Assembly was a bit of pain in the ass, but my younger son helping me out made it a blast!! Still not a fan of the head with the tongue, and I liked the morphing head more than I thought I would.", Odeh Neshawait.

I owned the Sideshow version and I already prefer this.

With that said, you can't pay me enough to purchase and assemble this, now that I know how many pieces it has. I'm happy for others though!!!

"The texture looks lumpy in a lot of photos, but in person that's not how I would describe it...fibrous isn't quite the word I am looking for, but closer to how it appears to me...it's like overlapping strands of symbiote. It looks quite organic, imo.

For those who own XM and SS... which you prefer

I sold my Com right after I preordered this and I'm glad I did. The only reason I would consider picking up the SS again is to complete the set with my spidey/venom.
