Their price point has me at the point where it's tough for me to PO most of their stuff anymore. Unless I REALLY want something, I won't even consider POing early. Once I see good in hand pics, I will probably still nab some regulars. Most of their EXs aren't that great anymore either. Still, they are capable of making a great statue so you can't fall asleep on them. It's just SO TOUGH to tell which pieces will be amazing and which will be QC nightmares...

Yeah i always wait for in hand. Can't be doing with having to deal with customs in the UK if the statue is crap and i have to send it back. I love the Lobo they made. He came out fantastic.

it's pretty clear that all they care about is the money and not the collectors. You can't change Greedy people, it just can't be done. People still happily buy their bad releases and always come back for more. Sideshow is never going to change as much as ppl like to think they will, even if you don't buy their stuff, there are plenty of those that will.

i think Sideshow are a lil too clever with their ES,, and greediness,.. they put up a TBD ES,, then take a stock of their POs and approximate how many will sell , add a few hundreds more and finalise the ES,, then they produce in batches,according to PO.. so if there arent enough POs they could just slyly close PO and say,, sorry, sold out, in the end, prob after 5 years, they must have made half of the ES but no one really knows, lol, this is just speculation btw

if they cared, how come they never change...anything? When I speak of Sideshow, I am speaking about their ownership (i have no idea who that is), not their staff. It's always the higher ups that are making the stupid, greedy decisions, so that's who I am referring too. They may throw a bone or two to collectors every once and awhile, but that doesn't show me anything. I look at other companies who really take into consideration their fan base and those are the ones that get most of my business.

I hear ya. But while the ownership may be making financial decisions and guiding things, it is sculptors and artists that are very much like us creating these statues from the ground up and enthusiastic collectors doing much of the day to day operations (customer service, social and such).

I know several people who work there, all of whom are passionate collectors themselves. I wouldn't say patently unless I knew what I was saying was true and not speculation. Though of course, I can't speak to the entirety of their staff.

Just got a mail back from Simply Toys. Since I live in Germany and in the license area of XM, they will still be able to send me XM-statues. They also said that people who will be affected, will receive a mail soon. If you are not affected, you will not receive a mail and you are safe

If Spain is in their license area, you are safe, so you will not receive a mail probably and no I did not send nude pics

I was in the market for a Endo. I had choice to wait for Sideshow or order the one from Chronicle Collectables. Since I have seen no evidence that Sideshow has any plans to improve it was a easy choice to go with Chronicle. They will not get the wakeup call until another company eats their lunch.

sideshow does the same, when i couldnt buy hot toys or prime 1 products from them direct ,they suggested freight forwarding
