Even with a mirror in the back panel of your shelf, you'd need to turn Wolvie and get very close (one inch or so) to see the stenciled hair. From a few inches it looks like hair shading, which is not great honestly, but definitely far from an issue even if you see it in the mirror.
I see that for the price point people expect these flaws to be absent, but I also see people costantly dropping 2K on LSFs and be fine with the third grade paint app Sideshow delivers on those, so I think there's a lot of hair splitting (pun, hell yeah) going on here.
As Spidey said, it's not much a matter of flaws, but of expectations surrounding XM, imho.

In all of this... are the arms deatachable? Anybody knows?

At the elbows only..... So no help to send back in small pieces.

Honestly, I think some of the big XM fans are really giving them a pass on this, which is the opposite of what they should be doing if they expect XM to keep the lofty standards they attribute to them. I think the heads are pretty bad, and the masked head (best one), has that lipstick/monotooth, wavy paint. If it were an SS piece, it would be getting DESTROYED online right now. Also, that arm hair is just bad. Really poorly executed. The base/costume rock, but, again, zero consistency on how these pieces are treated by the online community. Makes me think if the recent Iron Patriot were an XM piece it would be the new darling of the collecting world.

:slap Back in action eh? I take it you haven't seen a couple other Wolvies popping up that don't have the wavy line issue (which I don't think is an issue anyway) or the gum problem.

XM has already taken note of the issues particularly with the hair on Wolvie's arms and have owned up to it and stated that it is a learning experience for future statues. This is what is most important. They take ownership of style that in many people's opinions did not work and will approach it differently next time. That is all anyone can ask. People / companies are not perfect and business decisions will not always be the best for everyone.

I am not 100% goo goo gah gah with XM as there are some issues I have with their character decision making or lack of extras like on Cap. But granted I don't rake them over the coals and I like to see a company evolve, especially one that has the customer's best interest at heart.

I haven't posted here in a while, but personally I have zero issues with this Wolverine. I don't have a problem with the lips, the teeth (tooth to be exact as some have stated) and I damn sure have no problem with the hair on the back of the arms. My biggest gripe is with the blue and yellow uniform (oh the gaiety) instead of the brown and yellow. With all that being said....do I think this Wolvie is a perfect statue (of course not no statue is), but it sure is the best OVERALL representation of Wolverine I have seen along with ResinworX (although I have issues with the unrealistic long claws on that one).

Thanks guys.
I know a good guy in my country who would probably fix the issues for me at no charge, even sending the full box to him and back would only cost around 25-30$ total in shipping. There's no need to ship back to Singapore the statue imho, it's a super easy fix, both the hair and the separation line of the lower tooth (but that doesn't bother me to be fair).
I don't even know why I'm thinking about it since I don't have this on order, sadly.

So happy for you brother but also jealous somewhat....Mine is coming in the next batch along with Hawkeye. Oh well.

This is another one of those statues that when in hand people will do a complete reassessment of the vitriol they spouted in earlier posts. That doesn't mean they still don't recognize the arm hair decision that they may not be a fan of...but I have a hard time seeing anyone be disinterested or unsatisfied with their Wolvie.

Erick Sosa's custom head is on the way, ohh yeah!

So #14 is in the house! :rock Huge thanks to Kenny!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :hi5: :duff

My overall rating on this piece is 9 out of 10.

Concept design of both Wolvie and the Sentinel head base, pose, paint app, execution, quality of materials, packaging and guide - all 10 out of 10.

I'm deducting 1 point for the tricep shading/hair area which I'm not keen on. Since I won't be displaying this statue with Wolvie's back facing the viewer, I can live with it. The bottom tooth and gum debate on the masked portrait is a complete non issue for me. The masked portrait was the only one I planned on the displaying from the concept stage forward, so this was crucial as were the issues of bleeding or wavy paint I read about. The portrait I received is better than I was expecting after reading all the drama since the first pics hit the web, I'm very happy with mine.

I unpacked Wolvie and gave him a quick looksie, so if there's any dust and styofoam bits in the pics just pretend they aren't there lol.

These were taken with an iPhone 5 camera, uploaded to photobucket and are unedited. Make of that what you will.

Hope you enjoy, I know I am ;)
