I'm just going to leave the negativity in this thread and just patiently wait for mine to come in and enjoy him all to myself.
Same here and truth is I don't expect perfection and never have but what I do expect is straight eyes and an unbroken statue
Very true. I'll admit I'm an old collector and imo the recent trends in the community expecting perfection is strangling the hobby. However, you are not everyone who is buying these.

I said this over at SF, and I will say it here, I don't know if it is unfair or fair, but many people have come to expect PERFECTION from XM, and I do mean PERFECTION, and if they don't get it they expect a response. I also believe that many simply focus on the premium they had to pay to get the piece, not what XM ACTUALLY made/charged for producing it. I think this piece looks great, BUT guys are going to microscope these things to death.
It's completely unfair. Expect a high quality product, yes, but this is still a factory produced piece...there might be the odd wavy paint line...oh noes! What kills me is that there are people that legitimately expect XM to redo 999 heads and send them out to all buyers. I can tell you that if I was in charge of XM there is not a chance I would do that!
There are whiners that would never let this monstrosity defile their display shelves, but oh, they'll sell it to you for the low price of 2k...practically giving it away.

I agree dude... And I don't think it is XM that is setting up the expectation of perfection... I think it is there fans... And I mean that honestly. I highly doubt everyone who got a Magneto went over him with a magnifying glass, and there are bound to be flaws, but because the hype and the prices paid I am willing to bet they are simply "unseen", and I highly doubt anyone wants to be the guy who admits theirs is slightly off.
Well a lot of collectors sold their SS stuff because of the issues SS has been having. I'm sure they have a right to be upset that they're not getting their XM statue as expected. But again, that's their problem and XM is not perfect nor ever will be. There's bound to be QC problems and if one day XM starts producing more products like DC, Star Wars and etc...you can definitely expect statues not "perfect"
Just be greatful XM has gone above and beyond so far and quit pushing their limits...
That's not true, people did report very minor flaws on Mags. One I recall specifically was 1 of the 3 notches on the neck area of the cape that's painted purple being missed or smudged. Pretty sure XM sent that collector the matching purple paint to do a touch up as requested. There are some others, not many though that's for sure. Regardless, I agree with Bmutha as the expectations and following commentary over there are borderline insane. Some are from those who have po'd the piece and some are undoubtedly from those who've been waiting for a ***** in the XM armor.
My Mags had a little nick on his thumb...I kept him as is and didn't even bother saying anything but I'm sure others could easily raise hell
Is the face sculpt for unmasked head confirmed yet?
Yuck..... Looks like a Munster...lol
Good callHonestly, I think some of the big XM fans are really giving them a pass on this, which is the opposite of what they should be doing if they expect XM to keep the lofty standards they attribute to them. I think the heads are pretty bad, and the masked head (best one), has that lipstick/monotooth, wavy paint. If it were an SS piece, it would be getting DESTROYED online right now. Also, that arm hair is just bad. Really poorly executed. The base/costume rock, but, again, zero consistency on how these pieces are treated by the online community. Makes me think if the recent Iron Patriot were an XM piece it would be the new darling of the collecting world.
