Yeah you have to be. I've cancelled untold SS orders. I remember the days were I thought I would judge a SS statue in hand and worse case scenario I would sell it and get my money back but them days are gone. For me to order anything from SS I need to be 100% sure I want it and then there's SS hit and miss QC to worry about

I have always been able to handle a lot, minor nicks or scrapes never really bothered me. I get these are hard to ship without damage. Where SS has really come up short for me is in the facial paint apps. For me Red Sonja looked ridiculous on execution. I personally think the MOS face is a let down as well. I guess that's where I draw the line. I want my face apps nice and detailed but SS seems to be really ok with subpar execution. I always dream they would have a specialty group in the US that paints the head sculpts. I really really want to order Emma Frost but I have little confidence that complex and detailed expression she has is what I will receive. I can already see the slashy eyebrows and uneven lips. The flat face with no accentuation and passionless eyes. That is a complex face paint app, can SS really pull it off.

I have not been in these XM threads in a while. I thought I would check out what is going on with the XM Wolvie because he looks pretty cool. What do I find? The same thing I was reading about three months ago. The last three pages on this thread are nothing but SS bashing. I will revisit in three more months and see if the tone has changed. If you fanboys love XM so much talk about them and forget about SS. It is like you have a good looking new girlfriend, but you are still obsessed with your EX.

i still think madx wolv still the best and SSc 2nd. i still cant get over how this XM wolv have zipper on his boot.and i think this xm wont command 1.5x after market value.
phoenix and mags on the other hand hmmmmm thats a potential after market profit.

Exactly, I'm not a fan boy. I collect what is awesome regardless of who makes it and will criticize something that sucks regardless of who makes it. I posted this pic in the ARH Ares thread to show his size but ill put it here because it shows ARH, SS and XM together.

Couldn't have said it better. I love what XM is doing. I am not buying with concern for after mkt prices. I am buying because these are awesome! I do admit I don't buy anything with a large or unknown es but again...cuz im a collector.

Is the Madx one with the ninjas? I like the statue but the base with the bent up ninjas is kind of cheesy looking IMO. I hate the PJ look on SS Wolverine so yeah.... For me XM is the winner

Yea I'm not a huge fan of the madx ninja wolverine. I do like the Sideshow but never got it because that was before I collected comic premium formats. IMO though, the XM does win. The base, pose, and detailing is the best if you ask me.
