Geez, what a mess! I bet the flames were rigid too!
I'm not sure about this XM piece, but if the flames are of the flexible type of material, that should help minimize breakage.

Yeah, looking forward to it too.

Hopefully, you're right. I don't wish broken flames on anyone. :(

XM pieces are all wrapped and covered in plastic, they just put them in the box like this for the pictures.... And I do believe they throw the box down a flight of steps to make sure nothing will break... It's fairly rare if something breaks using XM boxes...

But do you think plastic will be enough of a cushion with the foam? I guess they're not much more you can do though.

They might have foam in between the ridges... I really won't know until I get mine... I have a feeling the flames are made with soft resin to give them a bit of flex... but it's just speculation at this point...

Ya I thought I remember an XM rep saying the flames on the base were made of a soft resin or pvc type material.

With their Thor statue, they said the clear resin for the spinning Mjolnir was cracking. I guess they haven't perfected using this material yet.

I think they mentioned bc it's too heavy and won't hold the statue or something

Ya, the bike is too heavy for the back wheel to be clear. The engine and tailpipes are actual metal. Clear resin isnt as strong and cant support this beast.

Good to know. That makes sense. It sucks...but I understand.
