Generally when you buy a license to make something like this, you probably have to agree to 1. marvel approval of the final production model, 2. an agreement not to replicate prior like productions unless specifically contracted / permitted to do so, and 3.marvel would probably space the licenses for a particular character across competing companies by a year or two.

As for not allowing a lics from a GR with a motorcycle again, that would pretty limit any company being interested in producing a GR at all if the bike was off the table. But again, marvel (others), use their common sense in doling out these licenses both from a timing perspective, protecting their character, and maintaining value to the licensee by spacing licenses, and not allowing too many like productions in too short a period of time.

That was my thoughts too.

i havent tracked exactly what is coming out and at what rate. While what I stated earlier may make sense, maybe marvel (others) dont care how often their characters are licensed because its all fees and advertising. other than their final approval over a statue to protect their character, maybe its the licensee's problem to avoid exact replication (lawsuit) and to assure they have a market for sale when others are producing statues as well. Would have to see a few of these contracts to get an idea of how marvel views / controls it.

Your guess is as good as mine (and actually sounds better. :lol) I'm just fascinated by it all, TBH.
