And that's just my opinion. XM is a great company, but Thor is not even close to being one of their bests....nor honorable mention for that matter.

Oooohhh. I LOVED the SSC version - modern version and the old-school one.

BOTH are top notch. Not really looking for any others at the moment.

I agree. The modern one gets no love but it's fracking amazing. Much better in person and one of the best mixed media pieces ever. XM has been doing great work lately but their Thor was terrible. SS has their bad pieces too though lol. Beta ray looks really great.

This will come off harsh, but that's not hard to do.

It's not harsh...and I agree it is not hard to do because Thor can be done much more dynamically like this BRB. However, I still think it is the best Classic Thor ever done to date in 1/4. I actually feel that if the very first Bowen Thor was done in 1/4, it would be the absolute perfect Thor for any collection. That was a testament to how great Bowen statues are.

XM Thor is IMO the best representation of him done so far in 1/4. SS PF would be second as I really enjoyed that as well. But his small woman hands, and odd looking up pose takes it down a notch or two below XM's. Plus there is no spinning hammer...which I absolutely love to death. It's the only way I display him.

If you think this Thor is blah...I don't think people will be making that same sentiment when the Modern Thor or Asgardian Armor Thor is released from XM...whenever that may be...hopefully sooner rather than later.

I have to agree I have XM Magneto and Batman, but XM Thor is still one of my favorites equal to those two. He may not have the details, but IMO he is the definitive Classic Thor. And I agree with Loricstone when I first started collecting i wanted the Bowen Thors they looked perfect. So XM pretty much did a better version in 1/4 scale and I was sold :)

In this angle, he looks like he's dancing to the tune of YMCA inside the shower while scrubbing his back.

that's the first thing that pops in your mind?

I don't see that at all...even if I was trying to give benefit of doubt.

At that angle, the first thing that come to mind is how awesome this sculpt is. The proportions is just like how Simonson would draw him. This piece is just epic.

Yeah this statue is pretty much the bees knees. I may bite but most likely after market. Same for Sif.

the sculpt and paint apps are excellent. I just don't have an attachment to the character.
