Next Friday for me..an unusual long time but with the holidays and all that, I guess it is understandable.

Of course it comes on my first day back to work after almost 2 weeks off.

We are also moving into our new place on the 1st. So Maybe I am the biggest loser?

Just arrived for me. The hood is super wrinkled out of the box. It feels like a synthetic material, so I assume it's safe to iron on low heat?

Ah man we just moved. It's the most daunting thing with this hobby. Fortunately our move was just up the road, but I hand packed and then moved my entire 1/6 collection with my Wife. Got a Uhaul panel van and just did the work. Saved space on the big moving truck and I had the piece of mind knowing I was the one handling it all.

Amazingly, somehow 7 detolfs survived the movers.

My dumb@ss was the one to break the frame of one when rebuilding them. Go figure.

I had no intention or interest in this figure when originally revealed and went up for preorder however since original blogger reviews the headsculpt has blown me away. I have original Emperor and not a fan of double dipping on a “character”. I feel like this is a headsculpt not to pass on? Your thoughts?

I’d wait to see if they do another ROTS Palpatine, more specifically the Chancellor look. There’s a potential opportunity for another portrait that would hopefully be truly based on his live-action appearance. Possibly a stern expression too.

The CW Palpatine sculpt is using McDiarmid’s likeness and is based on this ROTS movie still below:

…but there’s something off about it like the hair is too gray and his skin is lacking complexion cause it’s animated design based. In the Prequels, he has normal skin color and his hair is white with a hint of blond in TPM and AOTC. In ROTS, his hair is more white.

This would also potentially include a deformed sculpt and additional robe as well to recreate this look since it’s the same red outfit:

In addition, I also hope they do the ROTS Emperor look:

Bonus – If they make these Palpatine figures, you’d be able to recreate his TPM/AOTC Lord Sidious look:

And for a “what if? look” you’d be able to recreate the Duel on Mandalore but in live-action by placing a clean McDiarmid sculpt on the current ROTS Sidious figure with an additional saber.

Hmm, you could always try looking for the headsculpt on it's own, I'm sure it can be found parted out...

If anything, I would hope for a frowning/neutral/scowling face for a prequel film Sidious - this one is pretty much the meme/clone wars deranged smile specific. If they do make one with said expression, then they have an excellent starting point!

I have a bad tendency to go for "progression" of characters through the story ><

I think if you don't like to double dip on the same character, then you should go for the look that seems most iconic to you!

Luckily we are moving close as well and are able to take our sweet time moving.

It is such a. Crazy commitment, and we move ever couple of years.
