This is true in general for statue collecting these days. The trick is to know which are going to be the special releases (e.g. the original XM Magneto) - and to have good luck buying from collectors.

I see no difference if a piece is an XM or convention exclusive except that their retail and prestige prices are the same. They are also offered via online for PO.

As to the aftermarket prices, based on what I observed on what has been happening in our local market, prices of grail pieces of XM have been slowly dipping as years pass by. Except for Magneto which has retained the average price range of $3,500.00 others like Ghostrider, Mark VII, Cable, OG Captain America and Black Widow peaked at $1,700 and now, there are pieces being sold at $1,300. There were even a couple of Mark VII and CA that were sold at US1,100 each. I won't be surprised that they their prices would go down to $800 in a couple of years. When Phoenix came out, aftermarket prices are in the average of $1,500 and now I can easily buy one at $1,000. In my opinion, regardless of how consistent XM is putting out superb statues, there would be no statue that it would produce in the future that would replicate the kind of success that Magneto had in terms of being considered as grail and commands such a huge aftermarket price. Even the white magneto will never achieve that status.

The most that future statues XM would produce insofar as commanding higher prices would be that of GH and Cable. However, their prices would likely simmer down to $1,200. I used to PO quickly in an effort to prevent buying XM pieces with higher prices in the aftermarket. I directly POed pieces like Ironfist, Punisher, Venom, Electro, Black Panther, etc. Now, I can even purchase these pieces at close to retail, retail or even less.

You can PO at Events, XM Studios Website and XM Studios office in singapore. Will never send out for shops like normal statues. At the moment it is XM Dark Phoenix or XM Deathstroke as example.

XM Event Exclusive
Will only be possible to PO at Events where XM Studios is a part from, like STGCC. At the moment it is XM Hulkbuster or XM Hulk Transformation.

Looking better and better. I still wish the flames were translucent, although I think most folks prefer the painted. Maybe someone will cast a set of translucent flames for the secondary. Otherwise I may have to get the flames on the regular Phoenix painted. I just feel they should match.
