I just got a reply from my contact from Singapore and basically they're going to put in a complaint with DHL even though there is no sign of any damage to the brown shipping box, so I doubt DHL is going to cover it... Since this is a grey market statue (meaning it's sold outside it's licensed area) XM might replace the part for you free of charge but they won't pay for any shipping and I doubt your contact will either, so basically your screwed unless you want to spend another $300+ in shipping fees to get another one and hope the parts don't break again....
It's the risk you take and I pretty much knew that ordering stuff from XM that doesn't have a world license.. That said, XM knew about this issue and although they tried a fix, it's pretty obvious they didn't do any real testing given both of us ended up with broken statues...
When I first started collecting XM statues they cost around $750 shipped, now they're costing around $1200+ shipped... Even though XM makes cool looking stuff I think I'm done with ordering anything from them without a world license… It's just not worth the risk if something breaks because your pretty much on your own... I think I'm just going to eat the NRD's I have with my other XM pre-orders...
The only good thing with the breakage is you can glue the cape part back on, nobody is going to notice it due to it being directly behind him...
Here's hoping you get a better response then I did....
