Went over to the studio and had a sneak peek at the latest Hulk head sculpt. Whaddaya guys think? Top row old head, bottom row new head.

If the guys there will listen to you try to convince them to exaggerate the proportions a little more.... They are sticking got the proportions of a human head to much IMHO. The Hulk is more beastly..... Their nose is to small and the mouth is to small.

Yeah, this is the weakest of their releases. Cap looks good and Iron Man is solid but this Hulk just doesn't cut it. It's not just the head sculpt that is the problem. This piece should just go back to the drawing board completely. Everything about it feels off. It needs a better pose, thicker body, and a new head sculpt IMHO.

Yeah agreed on all accounts. The coloring is much better then the original green. Details in the toe nails look really good and the base works but everything else needs some work. The stretched torso and back look weird/awkward. The face needs to be scrapped and redone... It could be great if they continue working on it.

Hi Gang!
A BIG thank you to the guys for giving me the
opportunity to do this alternate head and Thank you
for the compliments on the new head.

This was just a quick sketch to illustrate a more
stylized classic handsome hulk LOL. There is still alot
of work to do on the head itself . Ill need to make the
face more asymmetrical and add make it fit the
original body in terms of pose .

Having a blast and im trying my best to respect the
original artist. Hope it will not be too far in terms of
style.

are always welcome.

I don't think so. I think its pretty nice looking Hulk. I just can't tell how it would look as a standalone piece. Posed next to Cap, it makes a perfect dynamic duo companion. Eh, doesn't matter. It's too much money for me anyways, especially when I have my own commission and a few SS statues I'm gonna have to have money for.

Looks like the mouth/lips shape is way too similar and off looking doesnt not look like the art above? A slight improvement over the original.

That looks WORSE IMHO....do you mind me asking what they are trying to accomplish with that head? Realistic vs comic?? Because right now I don't get it at ALL.
