this is a great looking piece, but I don't like the iron man suit design. I personally wouldn't pick up the iron man as a stand alone, and I wish the Hulk Buster was standing so you could see more of the suit. It's a fun diorama but the pose of the HB hides so much detail IMO.

My wife and I just had our second son. 3k for a statue now is a ton. But 3k into a college fund for them both and by the time there in college that 3k will be 10k.
This hoby is just getting too expensive.But the art work has trippled in the last few years. XM IA iron studios are all putting out some amazing pieces. Sadly sideshow is still.... Well.... Sideshow. The thanks statue is the best piece they released in the last 4 years. And it's plaged with QC issues.

I completely understand where you're coming from. I've been collecting for well over a decade and prices just keep rising pretty rapidly. Having a wife and kids definitely makes me think twice before I make an expensive purchase in this hobby.
You would rather him standing. Yeah that would look insane. Just that there are other pieces out there with him standing already. It’s not for Everyone. I just like how it’s been executed. I’ve waited a very long time in getting an Iron man piece. I can’t stand museum poses to be honest. So the fact his just landed on the ground with Iron man jumping out is a win for me. And that’s how I would display this. I also love how they have done the battle damage.

Some people had the same issue with sideshow's OG Iron Man COM. It had basically the same pose with him punching the ground. Some people joked it was a football pose but like you, I thought it looked so cool and rather unique. It was my favorite Iron Man statue until this HULKbuster came out. You are very fortunate to be adding this masterpiece to your collection. I not only think it's the best Iron Man statue ever made, I think it's one of the best statues ever released in this hobby of ours.
The Kucharek brothers nailed this in my eyes. This will probably be my last piece to get for a very long time. I just happy Storm is arriving in the Same quarter

This is my most anticipated piece ever. I think it looks phenomenal. The pose and details are incredible. It’s two statues in one! I don’t throw the words grail around a lot but this is one of them. It’s a true centerpiece. I also think the XM Sentinel diorama is another masterpiece but unfortunately I’m not getting that one because it will cost over $5000 with shipping
That Sentinel piece is a grail. I won’t even bother looking at purchasing that thing its way too huge.

That's 2 great pieces to add to your collection. My wish list for recent XM statues is HULKbuster, Weapon X, HULK transformation, and Storm. I don't foresee ever getting HULKbuster because of the total price tag to get one here in the States. Transformation HULK may be out of my comfort zone as well when its price tag is revealed. However, Storm is now in my sights and I'm open to picking up Weapon X down the line sometime if I can find one for a decent price.
The price for Hulk Transformation is $1600 shipping will bump that up as it’s huge also. I seriously can’t wait to see the painted sculpt when it’s done. Still can’t see it releasing in Q4

Yeah it will release in Q4....in 2019 lol. I don’t see a chance of it releasing in Q4. We haven’t even seen it painted yet and when we seen Hulkbuster painted last year, it’s still taking all the way to the end of this year. It will definitely be 2019

I didn’t order all 3....yet. I have Hulkbuster and Storm pre ordered but Hulk Transformation I’m undecided about. I want to see it painted first. Plus I also have Sideshow pieces being released around the holidays as well but that won’t be so bad since I’m on a payment plan and will be paying them off soon.

Hell yeah. The K Bros work for Bowen was amazing. However, seeing them sculpt in 1/4 scale for XM is jaw dropping. It feels like they've been unleashed now.
