My question to you all talking about licensing issues is....why are you not bringing this up in the SS threads, GG threads, and every other thread that makes Marvel X characters. Everyone will be affected....so all you better hope this gets resolved quickly. SS will be screwed, XM will be screwed, GG and everyone else.

Here is the difference between XM and SS....XM will just go into the pool of 1000s of characters that have yet to be done who are not XMen while SS will go back to another Hulk.

Personally, all this legal talk is quite taxing. If Magneto and Wolverine are put on hold....SO WHAT!!!!! There are 2000 other Marvel characters I could want more.....Thanos being one of them. Loki could then finally be made for once.

ok..so if i wind up getting my hands on this I'm thinking of getting it customized…purple trunks purple neck, more purple on the tips of his boots, essentially more comic 90's look, and then some alterations (minor) to the heads..thoughts?

There will most likely be additional custom portraits after hes delivered. Id wait on those before making any moves on the portraits. Unless your just talking about some minor paint changes you would make. There's already talk of an ultimate variant repaint being done on someones Mags

At this point I don't post to put down XM people (as of this moment I have pretty much tried to secure 3 out of the current 5 available by pre-order). I am not putting XM down, but I am being realistic as how this could happen. So should we agree that this probably won't go down in the C&D route, and that people will receive Magneto and Wolverine? Yes, but can we also not be such fan boys and realize that regardless that anything could still happen? Yes again. Like Loric said, it will affect SS and GG as much as any one that has made X line statues.

While maybe it can be seen that my working hasn't been as credible to you, but I have actually experience where the company has had to release any games based on licenses issues. No body brought it up in the SS thread. Why would I go into the Gentle Giant as I don't collect GG? I am in the deals to get a Cap from a reseller, I also might get Iron Man (I'm more interested in the Pepper portrait), and BW is safely PO. I am not against XM, and yet since I order their product, I do browse through XM threads (shocking, I know). So while, yes everyone could get affected (not that I care too much as X-Men are a huge line and I would want to make sure they are obtainable opposed to having a team of 3 or 4 characters that have only been made), I don't really much care if the line gets killed or not. I more so say it to make the point that legal actions have been able to screw others.

Don't disagree with you there, again could care less of character selection, as I have just started collecting, plenty of things look good to me still.

I wasn't asking for a novel of a response doctor. I've already read through pages of them in the Thanos thread and kept to myself. Carrying it over here afterwards by making a snarky response to Shawns post was pure instigation to get the same crap going on in here. Just leave the endless pages of speculation alone and try to focus on the intention of the thread itself. Every thread sways off topic from time to time but countless pages of theoretical "maybe it could happen" is annoying. Funny as I have never mentioned really "life stories" except little small points. I agree maybe it could've ended quickly, and with less effort. I don't disagree. Now I guess we could commence the usual, does the coin come with it? Where could I order this? Is it truly sold out? and the same exact questions for the next few pages up until a new picture shows a bit more until sooner or later statue is in hand and it becomes free to review and give praise.

Now don't see much harm being done if the conversation is brought upon what ifs. Is that not the point of a thread? But as we have both agreed, I have nothing further to say, as it's become pointless for both parties.

And if it seems to attract that much attention, it's all the more of a reason to have been said. If you go a couple pages back, I have given critique about Magneto even before the paint, yet it seemed to be sour for some.


So are you saying I am in a lose-lose situation? I lose because if I critique I'm not praising it correctly? Or I lose because some how my comments have no reason? As another fellow XM fan said, use the ignore user feature. If the comments are truly that annoying, utilize, it's your privilege.

I'm concerned the next Sharknado is going to hit XM Studios. I will be emailing XM in the morning to inquire about shark insurance, as well as tornado insurance because, you know, it could happen.
