Okay XM just give us both versions of the helmet head before the forum members flay Bmutha alive.

That would seem like the best solution. I love the space and open areas of the helmet on the painted up proto we saw. This WIP head just looks like the helmet is melted on to his head and face. If we can get both heads I'm all good. I will not be happy if we get the WIP head as is. I dont want just paint separating his helmet from his face. I have total faith XM will get this right. I don't mind a tighter fitting helmet but I do want his head/face to look separate from the helmet.

filip I'm going to go out on a limb here and say XM will not disappoint us. There is no way we get the new wip head as is.

Football helmets are full of thick padding and army helmets have webbing on the inside that makes them sit high. Interestingly both helmet types also have a chin strap keeping them on snug. Baseball helemts sit high too. Hmmm wonder about hockey helmets maybe

To his defense though XM didn't make these changes on Bs accord though. There have been other voiced concerns about it as well. I'm actually in the leave it alone group as well but I've learned to reserve judgment (at least with XM) until we see the final results and as you all can see they are still working to perfect this and attempt to make the best damn Mags the collectors world will ever see. I know these guys fairly well and trust me when I tell you they strive for perfection. Money is the last motivating factor for the Ang brothers. XM is a company that works for the fanbase not the almighty dollar. They're only trying to improve and I think once it's all said and done were in for quite a surprise

Since XM is making all these changes and listening to their customers, what if they have the sculptor and designer sign the statues on the bottom of the base. This would make these statues even more premium and exclusive.

Actually a sweet idea but they use artists from all over the world. Final product is shipped to SG so that would mean the artist that is responsible for sculpting or creating the statue would have to be present to sign them. Good idea but I don't know if it's practical

To be honest this is why it really is not wise to change anything after an item has been ordered. There will always be a contingent of buyers that will feel that it is unfair to change what they have ordered.

I have not read anywhere that the old head is axed or if the new head is a replacement or an addition. Let's give XM a chance to clarify things before we over speculate. What I have read from XM is that the collector comes first and money second. That's a direct quote from Bryan. I believe in the end we will end up with both as there will be a ****storm of post from the buyers that don't like the new head and put our friend Bmutha in jeopardy. j/k

I would normally agree with you if they didn't have the disclaimer that prototype is SUBJECT TO CHANGE. Seems like you all forget about that. In addition, at least XM shows you the changes being made. That is what you should all be talking about. How about talking about appreciating the fact you see the changes and process leading up to production?

This bantering about the helmet is quite....well.....really?? I remember everyone was up in arms about the unhelmeted look before...when I thought there was no problem with that. Quite honestly, I don't care what changes they make or made....I am getting this anyway...because with whatever look they go with...it still is the best Mags I've ever seen....from concept to completion.

Btw Wolf-B...this was not directed at you....just a general observation.

It's one thing to change something before it went up for pre order, but after that it's shady to all of XM buyers who liked the version as it was. Sideshow was always critized for the such bait and switch. Now XM does the same without any word that we get the helmeted head we ordered too. Make it additional, so Bmutha can have his will for gods sake.

No worries stone...nice of you to show up .All good. I have no issues with the helmet tweak either way. Nothing will change this from being a.....yes you know it...GRAIL!!
