Like that move alone isn't enough, to further complicate things, we also have a Jean from the future running around now as well. What a mess.

All-New X-Men #29 complicated that part even further today.
Now it's not clear if future Jean ever existed or if she was an illusion created by Charles Xavier Jr.

Yes, you are. :lol This was all made possible when the Avengers found a cocoon with Jean's body in the ocean and she was revived and revealed in the FF. That's when it was explained that Jean and Phoenix were actually 2 separate entities. I don't remember the issues exactly but the story happened around the mid 80's. It lead directly into the intro of X-FACTOR with all 5 members of the original X-MEN. Man, Marvel really turned Jean's history into a convoluted mess. Now we have a teen Jean from the past running around with the X-MEN today because Hank decided to bring her (and the other 4 original members) from the past to the present day. Just picked up my books from the LCS and I will say this...complicated as it is, I am really enjoying what they are doing with the story right now. I look forward to reading each months issue.

All-New X-Men is one if my favorite monthly books. The original X-Men characters are written well and the crossover with Guardians of the Galaxy was awesome. It's one if the few books I can't wait to read every month. It's also surprisingly funny at times.

I really enjoyed All New X-Men for about 18 issues and then grew bored with it. Part of that though was the art started to get too strange for me and I didn't like it. Same with Uncanny X-Men.

Honestly, I'm not enjoying the Marvel Now or New 52 all that much. There are a few books that are interesting but as a whole...comics today feel almost foreign to me. I think I'm buying more out of habit than enjoyment. I'm a big fan of the old stories and continuity. If both companies want to update or modernize their characters, they already had the forum to do so. Slap a Ultimate label on any Marvel book or a All Star label on any DC book and have at it. This way we can have both types of stories for comic readers.

I am in much agreement in how it relates to the Transformer's franchise. All these newer Movie versions and Tranformers Prime and Beast Wars I just don't like at all. I will always be a G1 fan...and there are artists that are drawing them and giving them much more details than how they look on the cartoon....but they still look like their originally drawn characters just with more detail.

I think modern comic companies have gone too much the Michael Bay route....and it just got to a point where I sold all my Graphic Novels. I haven't read a comic in years.

I agree. I don't know why Marvel and DC had to retcon their entire universes. In general, it seems like people would rather reboot a franchise rather than continue to come up with original stories. Same goes for the movie universe too. Spiderman gets rebooted after three films? No thanks. Been there, already saw that.

Some I say were necessary and great ideas. Like Aquaman.

I also like the Batgirl series, although sometimes the writing is terrible, I like that we can finally get Babs again. That's it for me.

Well I really like reading comics still. Have for years and makes this hobby much more enjoyable. Marvel now isn't as bad as new52 which was a total reboot. Now was just establish a starting point for new fans but they acknowledge all the old history and story lines still. Its a sad state of affairs but i do think there is alot of great talent both writing and drawing these days. Everyone says how good the old stuff was but when you go back to read its really just ok now. Anyway...Im resigned comics will b dead in ten years and all ill get is Disney cartoons. But ill keep buying to the bitter end.

If all we have 10 years from now is cartoons...we'll ALL have to change our names on this forum to CBG! :lol
