Yeah I love picturing him in my mind.. To me, he's a middle aged, successful, intelligent guy just laughing at all our responses to his persistent trolling. I love the guy. He definitely isn't who he pretends to be on here.

So, as a US customer who only found out about this today, am I s.o.l./too late and will have to rely on eBay to buy her? I tried going back through this thread to find out where you guys were getting your pre-orders from (other than BBTS) and I just couldn't figure out who you were all emailing and making special deals with in Thailand (or wherever).

To be honest your most likely going to have a tuff time finding her for retail now. Don't give up though as deals will come up, some of the Asian resellers will still have her but will only sell as a bundle

I can also see a few people selling her or dropping there order as I think some buyers don't realise just how big and heavy she is and because of that shipping could be a killer

Pretty tough luck, honestly though the fact she is worth more than a grand will certainly have a few dropped due to cost. Constantly checking everything at any time is your best bet.

The point is, continue to keep trying as these are still many many months away from being shipped and there is always someone, somewhere who has to cancel an order especially as it gets close to shipping time.

I have already pre-ordered one of these (without the coin) but am starting to have second thoughts as I think about the $1200 price tag plus taxes and import duties. What is the main thing about this piece that is giving you no doubts that you must have it in your collection? BTW, I love the sculpt although the face/neck does appear to need some tweaking although I'm sure that the second head will be a complete home run after seeing what they did with their Black Widow. The body and pose are what got me initially.

For me it's the power that is demonstrated. It's very hard to get a good action pose and not only did the capture action but they captured power and she is gracefully sculpted at the same time. Very fluid. Most ss poses looked forced but this seems natural and elegant. A must have for my collection

They will continue to tweak and tweak and it will just get better and better. Every X-men collector needs a Jean Grey in some form in their collection and the difference between this and the SSC Jean Grey is just night and day. Would SSC even entertain having the Phoenix behind her? I seriously doubt it. XM isn't afraid to take their creativity to the limits and it shows with this Phoenix piece. In the end, it's up to everyone whether they want to keep their POs or not but if you are looking for a Jean Grey for your collection, I think you will regret cancelling this.

Although the cancelled SS Phoenix did have the Phoenix bird behind her, just not as tall. I still liked it though. The face Mark Brooks gave the bird was a nice touch. It was a 1/5 Comiquette so the XM would still rule in 1/4. It'd be nice if SS could still get it out as a Dark Phoenix PF but they seem to be done with this whole idea.

For now, the best JG or Phoenix you can get in your collection for sure.
