Oh damn! That really hurts especially on a very amazing piece like this. Sorry to hear. Keep trying to get a hold of them somehow. GL!
Yeah, I think I may just bite the bullet and get a paint job. Just a turn off to see their CS like this.

Actually I don't think they have ever had great customer service. its been a problem from the beginning. I used to try and contact them a long time ago and just stopped bothering as never got any response. They eventually said it was due to understaffing, but wouldn't pay for someone to handle it. You just don't hear about it much, because their QC has been pretty high and they haven't had to get much replaced.
I could understand the understaffing, but I've seen them go above and beyond for some people. I just don't get it how they started with that and now it is utter silence. Though I wouldn't know much as I never really stayed up to date with XM, except for some pieces, here and there.

You probably already tried but try to hear from the guy who sent you Phoenix instead of XM directly
My seller bought his from another seller, who bought from XM. Don't think I'll get anywhere with that.
Strange stories, there was never a problem to contact XM for things like a replacement. I can´t
see any change from the start.

Contact the seller and he contact XM, easy way.

The reason for longer waiting for a replacement is easy and perfect at the same time. They
never produce more pieces, they produce a replacement if it´s needed.
They're 0 for 2 with my friend and I. Still a bit weird with them not answering a question from nearly 2 months now.

I can see how they way it produces, it's a good system for all. However, parts will always need to be replaced. Especially with an ES of 999; not everything would go smoothly. If that is the case though, a reply saying that would be very appreciated it.

Don't they had an office you can call ?
I just see an email; unless I try for an international call.

I'm not trying to taint XM's credibility, but it sure ain't perfect how many tried to make it seem. Doesn't seem so bad when you have PCS, also understaffed at a time, or SS which has to cover on an international scale.

I love my Phoenix piece, but if I have issues like this, I don't think I'll buy XM (which shouldn't matter as I shouldn't even own the piece lol); I'll stick to my boundaries.

these are some of the reasons why I don't drive myself nuts trying to get any of these statues. Who do you turn to when there is an issue? hope eventually you get some recourse.

Which is crazy. I remember their stellar customer service when they first started. And it's only been like 2 years, and then turned to this?! It's absurd to me. At least SS has the decency to email me in 2 days that I'm ****ed out of options at least.

lol i like how you think doc. I am pretty much done with xm as well, just can't deal with the headaches trying to get their pieces. Spent months of emailing and calling to finally get a response from simplytoys for my phoenix (they still ended up charging me extra even though i qualified for the discount price, but talking to them is like communicating with a god damn monkey on cocaine ), then going through my contacts to find someone who worked at ups singapore to ship this back to me...only the idiot (did i mention she works for ups) shipped it using their retail pricing but quoted me a much cheaper shipping charge, and i was stuck with a $800+ shipping bill from ups after the fact.

That's just phoenix, for ms marvel, i decided to order from eBay and save the headaches. And got a brand new sealed ms marvel, but the second i put on her arm, a piece just literally broke off (no i didn't drop it or force it). It seems the polystone was weakened or didn't harden properly or something... So now i am stuck with a broken ms marvel after paying 900.

End result: near 3k wasted and even worse tons of headaches and time lost with very little to show for it.

Too old to deal with this ***, work is stress enough already.

/soapbox off

ps i ordered this dark phoenix, $500 is crazy for a $350 statue 2 years ago, wonder how far ss can pop the price before this house of cards collapse like the comic bubble in the 00s. But whatever still better than dealing with xm

This is why I feel it's such a big gamble when ordering from companies from other countries that don't normally have the license to sell to the US... and you're right. It's such a stressful event when you have to deal with something like this. Sorry to hear about your Ms Marvel. :(

Sorry to hear this man. Obtaining XM pieces is definitely tough. Having a proper connection is key to having a smooth transaction IMO. I feel very lucky that I got both my XM pieces with little to no issues. I am actually relieved they don't have the marvel license since I would have bought a lot of those X-men they had planned:lol. Even with SSC pieces, I am making sure I get some sort of discount on every piece I buy. Whether it be RP, discount code, credit from a previous purchase, or gift card money, anything to lower the prices.

Its going for about just over cost right now, a good time to buy if your thinking about grabbing it. I suspect within a few months the ones with good prices will be picked up and the market will prob go back up to that 1600-1800 it was selling at before.

As for the SS dark phoenix, I dont see how it could compete... the XM has such a elegance and presence to it. Out of my whole collection its the only piece that almost falls into an "Artistic" category its so well done.
SS will prob just slap some boring careless base beneath her... Something simple so that they can re make it easily and cheaply with who knows how many diff "variants" of the same sculpt.

You called it! With a $500 price tag to boot, no less. :lol

Agree! I bought an Iron Studios Iron Man from a company in Brazil (through ebay). The transaction (and statue) turned out great but I was very nervous waiting for the item and opening it.

I've been (fortunate?) enough to have to have dealt with several broken statues in my life, so I've reached a point where my biggest worry is replacing it if I can't fix it. I know the money will be returned to me eventually. I've even had broken statues that I was able to fix yet still get full refunds, thus paying nothing for them. This is a nice thing if you simply care about displaying the statue.

I envy your diplomatic skills guys. I'd be stirring up the biggest pile of s--t ever if I was stuck with such expensive flawed pieces, really. I mean, through the right channels of course, but still.

I'm surprised by this. I've always know XM to be very customer service oriented.

Have the appropriate 3rd party retailer been contacted? We go through them first for things like this. Unless of course you bought directly from XM.

service has been bad lately, I have some issue with paint job on the wing and simple toys doesn't reply also the xm boss Ben didn't not reply as well. I am very disappoint with this, also even they try to fix any issue on the statue, they only ask you to sent it back and they can fix it, BUT who is going to pay for the shipping?

Contacting Simply Toys is the course of action for your case. It's up to Simply Toys to take care of you. If emails are not being answered, then you need to take a more aggressive approach and call Simply Toys. Talk to a manger at Simply Toys if you have to. You might need to provide pics of the issues to Simply Toys.

Hasn't it always been from the beginning that the customer would handle shipping costs? I know that might suck if you got it new with an issue, but their policy on fixing things extended to issues throughout the life of the statue. Maybe they don't want to differentiate.

Nothing changed on this. Besides from talking with XM i read a lot on the boards and facebook groups. Anything ok.

That's how I see it. XM is still very customer service oriented.

Issues just need to be bubbled up to the place the statue was bought first. Then it gets bubbled up to XM from there.
