Wow I have this statue at all cost! I will do whatever it takes to get it on PO day, but hope I don't have to buy from a flipper on Ebay! I expect to see the finished bird this week!

Had no doubt the paint app would be stellar but XM has outdone themselves. Can't wait for the piece to launch.

I wish they wouldn't. I love the attention marvel is getting. They have a few more characters to do before jumping on the DC train. besides SS has that covered pretty well right now.

I agree. Sideshow is doing amazing with the DC line. That's covered.

XM can stick to the missing Marvel we all want.

I'm going to have to own a XM studios piece. I'm waiting for them to do a PUnISHER statue!

I would only want a batman from XM and nothing else DC. Want them to stick to Marvel and if they branch off do something more unique and underserved than DC.

COTD Ladies are drawn with lots of details to them to begin with so artists have lots to work with..... A comic book character your pretty much stuck with their spandex outfit, they're just not drawn with lots of details... And that's going to be conveyed in the statue..... It would be like me complaining about how boring the Superman PF looks like because there's almost no details to him....

I didn't say she was unimpressive because of lack of detail in her costume. I even recognized the apples to apples comparison between her and Ms. Marvel and Spider-Woman. Is this how people reacted to Ms. Marvel? Maybe I just don't recall that. Are people thinking she is super "hot" or "beautiful" or something? That's what I'm wondering. Because if so it just seems like there are "sexier" statues to get excited over more than this one. I'm not saying this statue is bad or that anyone is crazy, I'm just trying to "get" the particular level of excitement over this one.

I know the paint up is a comic accurate depiction and it's great imo, and even though I may get stoned for this I'd like to see her done is a variant color scheme of something more sinister along the lines of Dark Phoenix.

Looking at the unpainted proto with the phoenix behind her my mind always painted her uniform in these sinister, fiery tones - red, orange, gold and black - so the green hasn't registered in my brain yet.

I agree. If they gave me dark phoenix first, I would have no need for this.

Simply Toys just sent an email that they are going to start accepting early POs for all XM statues for elite members for anyone who has at least 5 statues on order with them already. I wonder how much that will deplete their scheduled PO day stock.

Just a quick question regarding the new policy of Simply Toys, just to be sure. I had 3 XM statues in PO(with deposit), I added Black Widow and Hawkeye this evening(with deposit). I guess this is enough to be elegible for early PO?
I just wanted to make sure that I don't miss out on Phoenix. How do we get noticed that are early PO is locked in?

Yes, after my PO's this evening I have sent them a mail to lock my early PO for Phoenix and Thanos in. Tomorrow I know for sure if they are locked in because it is now middle of the night in Singapore

I agree I would actually prefer Dark Phoenix to this but I'm loving this no less because of that. If they make a Dark Phoenix, they will have to really outdo themselves. I have a feeling XM won't get into the straight repaint game.

I think the biggest factor is no licensed company has tackled a 1/4 Phoenix yet. That and the great sculpt, pose and paint app and lower ES is what is getting everyone worked up. Sure people will find this statue sexy but I don't think that is the main draw.
