Normally I wouldn't post info held in confidence however ONE of these is confirmed by a SSC rep to be coming soon. Care to guess which one?

" Shadow Cat, Phoenix, Jim Lee Storm, Domino, Dazzler, and to a less extent Jubilee in PF form "

As I said before they'd have to be pretty stupid not to release Magneto or Phoenix... Yet we still suffer from obscure choices like Bucky Cap and Skaar ...
Go figure.

Jim Lee Storm?

Jim Lee Storm would make the most sense. SSC is focused on the Lee X-MEN lineup and she's a glaring hole missing in that lineup. Phoenix doesn't fit or make sense given their focus on the Lee X-MEN. That said, they did surprise us with a classic Byrne era Storm so who knows?

I'm not sure SS even knows what their doing :lol

QFT! :lecture

The thing about Sideshow is there is very little cohesiveness in their product lines.
For instance, the Jim Lee XMen PFs; some are on X bases and some are on rock bases (Cyclops, Wolverine).
The Avengers PFs: same thing, some on A bases (Ms Marvel, Vision, Scarlet Witch) and some on environment bases (Hawkeye, Black Widow, Cap, Thor, IM, She-Hulk).
The Star Wars 1/6th scale bounty hunters; Boba and IG-88 are on Bespin carbonite chamber bases and Bossk is on the standard SS base.

I just wish SS put more thought and fore sight into their lines to tie them all together. XM is doing that with the XMen line (all Sentinel bases) and the Avengers line (all NYC street bases). It is just one of the things that makes me prefer XM over SS nowadays. I still follow and order from both companies, but XM is my top priority these days.

Yup, its the little things. I cant be that hard to coordinate a theme. Even DC Direct does with their smaller stuff. I remember a SS big cheese once commenting that its not their priority for everything to match. They don't want to confine their artist but rather just let the designs flow. I will give credit and say it looks like they are finally giving two .... about coordination when looking at the DC line. Hmmm...lets think about how big we can make the base...good...now lets add another inch or two

I have been an avid Sideshow collector since 2006 or 2007 and the last few years my Marvel preorders have dwindled. There were so many major QC issues that I just didn't want to deal with them; Psylocke's leg cracking was it for me. Since her I have only preordered four Marvel PFs. I quit the Avengers PF line and just stuck with the original four Captain America, Hulk, Thor, and Ironman Mk VI maquette.

I always wanted an X-Men PF line up and had all of them (minus the original Emma Frost cartoon PF). Every time I looked at Psylocke's cracked legs and Cyclop's goofy sculpt & base, I felt like there was no coordination. I have sold off all of them except Gambit, Rogue, and the original Wolverine com. The only reason I haven't sold Rogue yet is because of the PITA time I had getting replacement heads for her.

It looks like Sideshow finally has some competition in the 1/4th scale market. Sure, XM is more $$$, but it looks like they are far more committed to quality control and actually listening to their fan base.

To their credit, the Wolverine PF is his 70s costume. Although also mostly worn in the 90s they could easily do a brown costume Wolverine PF, put it on an X base and say that one is for the 90s line up.

Either way they messed up.

Is it safe to come on here yet?

Congrats to all those that were able to secure The Pheonix. I knew this one was going to be crazy. There will be more. The idea of missing a highly sought after piece like this really adds a lot of excitement/anxiety to the hobby again. In a sick sort of way I welcome it. I can't think of another release other then Mags that was as mad of a scramble as this was. Chaos at its finest

well done! I plan to do the same...maybe get her hair resculpted too.

This is one case where I think a repaint would be perfectly acceptable. Maybe the angry head sculpt with whited out eyes.

I know Thanos will sell out but do you think it'll be Phoenix sellout madness quick?

It might just because of all the anxiety associated with Phoenix and Magneto...more people not wanting to miss out, so they'll be ready to order as soon as the PO goes up.

I would think so Wanderlai. Anything XM makes is turning into gold. Any collectors best bet, IF they like an XM piece, is to get one asap to avoid any let downs.

I agree with Tavegg, I don't think anything will top the Phoenix sellout for a while. Maybe Thanos, but I think he'd be a Wolverine like sellout also. I've liked almost all of XM's stuff to date but the only ones I have on order are Mags and Phoenix. To me those two are just in a class by themselves. My next target will be Thor which isn't in the same class as Mags/Pho in terms of representation rarity, but I just want an awesome Thor to replace the first SS Thor. Lord knows their "modern" version didn't turn out so well, at least imo.

Well Tavegg, I got magneto and wolverine through simply toys but lost out on phoenix like a lot of others. Not broken hearted over missing out on Phoenix but will be if I lose out on Thanos. I guess that's part of collecting. You win some and you lose some.

Yes. Pheonix and Mags were special. Truly magnificent sculpts in their own rights. Add the fact they haven't been done yet along with a wicked low ES considering today's production runs... Youve got a recipe for greatness.

With several options for Thor already existing (and great ones at that) people wouldn't be so apt to spend the money if they already have the SS original or modern on PO for a much lowe price. Those in my opinion are the main differences. Not taking away from XMS Thor because I still think it has potential to be the best Thor out there but still there are alternatives.

Email them before hand. Especially of you have two on order from then already. Maybe you can secure Thanos and a future order early this way. Worth a shot. If not I'm still convinced Thanos will be easier to get ahold of then Pheonix or Magneto. Maybe not by much but I think it will be a couple hours instead of 45 minutes. Just my thoughts and good luck
