I agree, that's why I went with SS Comic Hulk instead, I had their pictures side by side and SS is the better one in this case. Even at $800 shipped, XM's Black Widow is a bargain considering all the extras they give you. The bases and the poses on Wolverine and Magneto make them worth it also.... I'm stoked this company came along, finally getting some killer 100% sculpted statues Lets just hope their production quality matches their prototype photos...

If their first few pieces come out as good as the Cap appears to be they are going to make a serious splash. I know the prices are about $300-$400 more than SSC, but if the quality is there, and the needs stay low, you will make that back in the aftermarket fairly easily IMHO.

IMHO their only misstep so far is their Hulk that looks really awkward. However the are honesty kicking some serious butt from what I can see. Those shots of the production piece Caps look to be on par with SSC. Now their prices arent't, but of they keep their prices constant, and just keep turning out high quality I can't help to think that people will turn t them for A) high quality work B) rare high quality work.

We have a Gorgeous both babe and it was interesting how most guys just snapped photos of her and ignored our statues while the girls take photos of the statues and ignored the babe. Lol! Alrighty, we only had 10 units of captain America at the event and they are all sold out! Those are the first 10 sets out so we should be seeing some collectors' photos and reviews soon. At the airport now heading back first... Still two XM boys at the event holding the fort!

Captain America does look impressive with the flag pose... With the shield it looks a bit awkward with the pose of his body... If I didn't already have so many statues on PO with SS I would of been really tempted to get this... Even XM Hulk is growing on me the more I see it... For the time being XM's Black Widow is the only I can get...

Any info on when Magneto and Wolverine will be ready?

Polystone is a polyresin mixed with rock powder, makes it hard and brittle, cold cast porcelain is polyresin mixed with porcelain powder, also hard and bit more brittle but the surface comes out smoother and has a different texture.

For comparison pretty much all of DC Collectibles are made out of Cold Cast Porcelain... Although DC tends to stick to the 1:8 scale and smaller stuff..

So the smoother surface I assume is the better finish?
