I don't know why, but somehow a full sized Ant Man doesn't work for me, but the small Antman on Ants is fantastic. Too bad there won't be a way to just get that. Anyway my money is going to be on Phoenix, Magneto, Wolverine and Thanos for starters. Possibly Hawkeye, Ms Marvel and Captain America if I can find a US distributor.
Speaking of Antman, didn't that film just lose it's director?

Actually I was thinking more about SS fascination with boring rocks (not very detailed at that), or worse when they do half the line with rocks and then the other half with X-Men/Avengers logo... Don't get me wrong, SS has done a few nice bases here and there (Doom in a chair being one) but I like what XM is doing, you have to admit Magneto and Wolverine bases look pretty awesome, plus the Avenger bases all tie into each other which is a nice feature too, something I wish SS would do...
One of the most boring bases SS has done was on their $550 Indiana Jones pursuit of the ark statue, that base is horrible. Should I even mention CR Superman PF base

I agree the overall look of the XM pieces mentioned are great comparatively, though if XM starts pumping out hundreds of products odds are they'll have their share of duds too. I would say your paying double for near perfect paint apps, great poses, limited ES... unlike SS where they have seams unraveling, stickers coming off of the fabric, googly eyes, sagging arm pits, baggy fabric bottoms, sloppy painted lines, dull paint apps that look nothing like the prototype, poses that make you scratch your head and go WTF, mass produced ES's, the list goes on and on... True SS statues are half as expensive but as the old saying goes, you get what you pay for.... SS QC has been pretty bad the last several years.... With SS weather or not you get a good statue or a bad statue seems to come down to a flip of the coin. SS can make some killer stuff but lately that seems more like the exception then the rule.

I actually prefer clear bases for museum poses, I do think action poses needs environmental bases though, but I do prefer clear to the mix and match SS does with giving us completely different bases within the same line up... it sucks for when your posing several of them together. Their bases start to clash..
As for pumping out thousands of statues like SS does, I'm hoping XM keeps their edition sizes low to keep the QC high... but only time will tell...

The cool thing is that XM said they were setting it up so all the statues looked like the bases were supposed to be together right?
That's one of the reasons I like the simpler ground bases that SSC does, they still might seem like they fit when displayed together. Now, with XM, if you want to display wolverine with the avengers instead of just xmen, that won't work as well. (I have no experience with GG)
Example: in this size comparison pic made by Josh-a-tron (thanks again bud!), you can see that the bases would still make sense together.

Their Iron patriot up for p/o has an action pose though. I'd like to see XM do well too, competition in this industry is always a good thing for us collectors.

I don't mind it to be honest. Idk if I'm going to get it yet for sure... I wanted a hammer straight up like he was calling thunder down. Or a mid hammer swing, like right arm with hammer at 90, and other are straight out or something. Idk

You only have to go through all the threads and see all the posts of people complaining about the poor QC and posting pictures... I'm not bashing SS, only pointing out the truth.... You sir, Can't Handle The Truth !!
Besides I do defend SS when I think it's warranted, but I'm not going to be blind to their mistakes either ... A lot of people think CR Superman PF, Jean Grey, Thor are all mistakes... so obviously your statement about SS releasing awesome piece after awesome piece is the BS your smelling

In hand pictures are already starting to be posted on the Internet, go check them out for yourself... I won't get mine until BW comes out.. But I do own 16 SS pieces and I would only say maybe 7 of them have near perfect paint apps (4 of them being the SW Mythos, Vader being iffy with the orange paint glow effect), the rest are ok at best.

Perfect paint apps. In those in-hand pics posted earlier, the face looks flat and the lips looked terrible. Hoping people post more pics, maybe it was just the lighting?
