Yavin Luke image thread

I can't wait for Les or Darren or Darkartist(Josh?) to repaint this one. I think it's the same situation as HT Drake. He looked nothing like Drake until Les repainted him. At least Yavin Luke looks close enough that you can tell who it is.

But thats cool, buy more Hot Toys figures... although odd you're not pissedd about having to repaint or buy new heads for figures that cost more. But I guess we all have our own denials

I can accept the fact that Hot Toys doesn't always get the rights to a particular actors' likeness which is more than made up for by the incredible quality and detail of their figures which have all smoked anything that SSC has ever done. What disappoints me with SSC is that they have the license to do $tar War$ and they can't even get the likenesses to look even remotely right. It's a travesty. A ******* travesty.

MTV honored him with lifetime achievement once and finally gave him his medal, but apparently, only the guy that pulled the trigger gets the award.

I heard or read somewhere that Chewie was offered a medal but refused it. Wookies dont big up their chests with medals i guess?

Got mine today. Looks pretty sweet in person. The jacket is much better than I thought from the pics I had seen. It fits on the body a lot better. The likeness is quite spot on to Hamill at that point in his career. I'm quite happy with mine.

Finally got ahold of the difital camera from my bro so I snapped a few pics! I'm pretty happy with him. Paint could be better, but I think the eyes are the most distracting. I think his outfit is nicely taylored and they gave proportionate arms.

Dave I think you're gonna drop the line anyway, I don't know what bar you're hoping for this line to reach but doesn't sound like it'll ever meet your expectations. I'm sure SSC would get better cloth and do better on the boots than the Hasbro, but what really is there to do for Farm Boy Luke, it's one of the most simplistic costumes in all of Star Wars.

The costume is simple but they just can't seem to get the headsculpts right. For $60 I want something that looks like Hamill, not Michael Beck.

Well give it a glance over in person, I think the sculpt is there and if anything is taking away from that it'd be the paint, not the sculpting. It looks like young Hammil. You'll at least be happy his eyes are pure white, no red wash stoned look that you hate.
