Thanks for pointing out what we should and shouldn't like. I'll e-mail you what I'm planning on having for supper and you can let me know if I should enjoy it.

If you have massive problems with it that's fine-- don't expect everyone to jump in the same boat. Some of us actually like to think for ourselves. :duff

Gold!!!:rotfl

Who said anything about liking or not liking it? No need to get all butthurt (™ & © thenammagazine) because some of us are pointing out that Sideshow is likely over-charging for this now that the feature that put it at the original $350 price point is a bust. It's a bit similar to the Boba Fett PF situation. Some people thought the argument was about the change to an all-plastic (ABS) piece. It wasn't. It was about paying Polystone prices for an ABS product. On this one, why would you want to pay for the cost of a PF with a light-up feature if the light-up feature (whether you use it or not) does not work properly?

Again, it's not about taste and opinion... it's about VALUE. And that's not nearly as subjective.

It's somewhat condescending to state from a supposed position of superiority Seriously, some of you have absolutely no sense for value... and Sideshow (and other companies) take advantage of that all the time. State your opinion (which makes perfect sense) but don't suppose that your opinion is the only valued one. In terms of someone's posterior being out of joint (is that even a physical possibility? :horror) I'd suggest you take Michael's words of wisdom and "Beat it"... er... I meant "Look at the man in the mirror"... Yeah, that's the one...

:duff

I. Like. It.

And that's the point that matters to me. By the way... a comparison of me to thenam has sent me into a spiral of shame and disillusion which I highly doubt I'll be able to pull out of... I'm sending you my therapist's bill.

No wait. I'm better. :D

Your offense is misplaced. I'm not speaking from a "position of superiority", but simply making an observation that some here seem to not really care about value at all when it comes to some products. Whether that's right or wrong is not my point. Perhaps some just like SW (or whatever brand) so much to where they can ignore some of these tenuous (near gouging) pricing scenarios. And that's fine. That's your call and it's your money. Doesn't mean I'm "right" and you're "wrong". But that's my observation of the situation. Sideshow (and other companies) have gotten away with some head-shaking stuff from time to time because not enough people make a stand on things like this.

:lol I wasn't comparing you to thenam... I was just using one of his classic phrases.

But no therapy should be required. Just have a Guinness. On my tab. :duff

It's all good. The 1/8 Irish in me appreciates the Guinness and the other 7/8 Scot loves the fact that it's a free drink. :naughty

I'm disappointed in the non-lit up lightsaber the whole way through but I've moved far away from being a completist in both the PF AND the 1/6 line. I only buy what I like and I absolutely love that this piece looks amazing and should be posed where people can get a complete 360 view of it. In this economy a collector piece really has to "speak" to a collector (especially with the amazing price leaps that have happened in the past few years) in order for them to pull the trigger.

For me, this one's a keeper.

Meh, the light saber "issue" doesn't bother me. As I've said before...I like it and that's all that matters. :rock

yep...lightsaber lighting, battery type, lack of an extra wrinkle on Yoda's forehead, etc. won't stop me from buying this. Hopefully, this thread can start having a lot of in-hand pics in a few weeks.

Comparing it to the cost of other PF's I think its worth the 350 without the light up feature.

WHAT?!? :horror Yoda is lacking the extra forehead wrinkle?!? :D ;)

Agreed. I rarely light up my Anakin PF, so the light up feature nice but not essential to me.

Yeah, no doubt staying away from being a completist has also saved me a lot of money and avoiding getting some really fugly stuff! :joy

Sculpt still owns big time. Lightup is kinda fail tho. That's calling it as I see it.
