Congradulations Jason! You just won the understatement of the year award! :fireworks :fireworks :fireworks

The other deformed characters look cute... so why does yoda look hideous? He should be like a better sculpted burger king toy.

Hey both my BK toys look better than that!

This is meant to fit in with their other 1/6 SW figures I think. It looks just like Yoda from ESB, although the expression could be different.

I just hope this doesn't mean that Sideshow will put off doing their own 1/6 Yoda.

My thoughts exactly.

Imagine this to be true! Everyone not getting this little Medicom creap, because they think it is soooo ugly, will be sorry! :monkey2

I am getting this Yoda. I like how he looks and I think he will look nice with my 12" SW figures, especially since he has cloth and is not entirely vinyl.

I also realize that I am completely in the minority here and am feeling pretty lonely.

So if this is 1/6 scale we may not get a Yoda anytime soon. This is not cool. Does anyone know if the "how you get so big eating food like this" stick going to be removable. If they redid the headsculpt it may have been a halfway decent figure.

It looks kind of like Billy Crystal when he gets old in Mr Saturday Night.

I think we need a definitive answer on whether this is 1/6 scale or not. If it is, it doesn't bode well for Sideshow's 1/6 Yoda ambitions.

Heres a few more really bad looking pictures I saw at Reblescum. He looks like hes walking around without his dentures or somethings. They are saying he is 1/5 scale. If so theres no way this will delay our SS Yoda. Is there anyway Medicom could fix Yoda's face or do they just dont know what Yoda looks like at Medicom. I dont think this company makes very good likenesses

Yeah Medicoms VCD line stands for Vinyl Collectible Doll, and since they don't make a short scale RAH body, and this is cast from vinyl it counts as a VCD not a RAH. I think it is suppossed to be scale to RAH though. VCD doesn't mean deformed. Medicom has a VCD Batman but it's just more like a Maquette, it's not deformed, btu since it's from vinyl it goes in that catagory.

its yoda from the original trilogies for sure.

the hasbro one is a very good representation of yoda in AOTC, so I highly recommend those, and I'm even sideshow couldn't really top the hasbro one except just better clothing

the hasbro sculpt is like this:
just a bit chubby but much better than, "weak frail yoda"

12inch_yoda_bg.jpg

and I've seen the paint job corrected my custommikey so there's no doubt it looks good.

I've already purchased two!

Sunohc, I never saw that Yoda or the wave he was in EVER. I almost bought it from brian's toys for $30, but back then, that was too much.

Fast forward to now, I pre-ordered Plo Koon for $60. HAH! Remember when Big Macs were 5cents?

well for $30 its expensive I guess, lol, since its hasbro.
I got both mine for aroud $25 each

but i bet if sideshow released these, they'd be around $40, no?

That wave was one of the hardest to find waves ever in 12" from Hasbro. It had a Jedi Luke, the Yoda, Ewok 2 pack and Biker Scout. The price went up around this time at most stores to either $25 or $30 (I cant remember which) but these didnt sit for too long. I found all of them in one Wal-Mart and I never saw the Ewoks and Biker Scout on the shelves again. The Yoda's really cool and looks alot better than the Medicom one in my honest opinion plus he came with his council chair.

it lists him at 5" tall....seems like an inch or so too much. what do you guys think. i personally like his look...expression could be different but he was old and fragile looking in ESB and ROTJ so I don't mind that look.
