Not really, you are younger so this was probably post Columbine. If the police didn't act like that and some moron then committed a crime or killed people they would be held accountable and likely sued. If someone is running around like a moron with bats and guns I'm not going to investigate by myself if I'm a cop. I'm going to call for some back up and then worry about sorting everything out.

Perhaps. I guess it was a had to be there moment. No one was running around either. Some just had their baseball bat, and balls, which they were going to use eventually, and was just swinging it around.

Obviously not as cool. :lol

Not saying anyone is wrong for saying i'm wrong. I just yern for the days of being able to play with guns outside without getting shot in the face. But that's not going to happen. I even had a film disqualified for having guns in a film festival, when that wasn't on the rules.

I grew up in the 80's and we all ran around playing Rambo. It was awesome! :yess:

^ Kids saw us. Little children around the age of 5 or 6. They said they saw guns and bats and got scared (Which was odd to me, because I didn't see anyone at the park, so I had to guess they were about 300 or so feet from us by the bathroom/table area), and told their mom, who probably cooked up the gang member thing.

There really wasn't a soul at that damn park. And then in the span of a few minutes, cops surrounded the place, pretty much after I left.

You have good timing.

Some people I knew lived in a house in a rural neighborhood back in the mid 90's. Lots of piercings and colored hair. The neighbors called the state police one day, claiming a satanic cult was meeting at the end of their street.

No joke...semi-auto's and riot gear. They came in through the woods behind the house and stormed in through the patio door. Held the house hostage for five hours. No drugs. No dead cats. Just poor gutterpunks scared ****less because some ******* with a psychotic sense of duty to his community got unverified information from another ******* with a psychotic sense of self-righteous paranoia.

I heard that SWAT-ing has become a political tactic as of late. Don't like what the blogger or radio host is saying? Anonymous tip to the police that shots have been fired and children are in the house. All you need are home addresses and you can go a long way toward silencing the opposition.

When you got to see a Led Zepellin concert and Ramones and the Plasmatics in the 70s and when CBGBs was the best!

Gimbels and Alexanders were around and Howard Johnsons was a favorite restaraunt for many including myself

when Difabio and Nam in order to talk to someone had to really step up to folks in person because there was no internet to cry about a Batman film...LOL
