The bullets are real brass ones off ebay, they are actually .50 cal so they are not entirely accurate since the M134 fires 7.62's

Yes they work. Also the hands from the Batman Original Costume (and presumably the new 2011 Batman figure aswell)

In fact the Batman hands would probably work better as they have no 'sleeve' on them that could hinder the range of movement.
