1. The Clash - London Calling
2. NOFX - The War On Errorism
3. The Beatles - Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band
4. The Jimi Hendrix Experience - Axis Bold As Love
5. The Misfits - Walk Among Us

I haven't heard any of Lagwagons music but I know of them. This is a very hard question by the way.

Warren Zevon - Excitable Boy
AC/DC - Back in Black
Led Zeppelin IV
Jimmy Buffett -Changes in Latitudes Changes in Attitudes
Beatles - Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band
:hi5:

Rolling Stones, Beatles, The Jam, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Jimi Hendrix, Leonard Cohen, Bob Marley, Harry Manx, NOFX...

But I'm going for a home-grown list on this one:

Cold Chisel - East
Catfish - Unlimited Address
INXS - Listen Like Thieves
ACDC - Powerage
Midnight Oil - Beds Are Burning

I'm an ornery old ******* who doesn't pay attention to what's going on in the world anymore, so apart from Lagwagon your list reads like Greek to me, Rich. Looks like I need to check out these Gaslight Anthem people you guys speak of.

I don't think there's anything on there that I haven't been listening to for 10-15 years..... None of those albums would crack my real "top 5" though.... that's just such a hard thing to put together for me.

AC/DC - Powerage.
Bill Idol - Whiplash Smile
Ministry - The Mind is a Terrible Thing to Taste
Farflung - Endless Drifting Wreck
Van Halen - Women & Children First

I at least listen to these with some regularity.

New Order, pretty much anything/everything.
Eric B & Rakin, same.
Underworld, same.
Led Zeppelin, same.
James Brown, same.
UNKLE
NIN

Top five is impossible for me, so I'll put my latest five as part of my most recent rotation:
David Bowie:Scary Monsters
Yeah Yeah Yeah's:It's Blitz
KISS: Hotter Than Hell
St. Vincent:St. Vincent
Spoon: They Want My Soul

Also playing The Velvet Underground remasters and the Zep remasters-listened to those albums at least a thousand times

i would try to quantify favorite albums, if i like all or 98% of the songs in it.

NIN- pretty hate machine(i barely skip a song)
deftones- around the fur (i barely skip a song)
foo fighters- color and shape(only song i skip is february stars, lolz)
prodigy- fat of the land(has only 2 songs i tend to skip, lolz)

1) Pink Floyd: Dark Side of the Moon
2) U2: The Joshua Tree
3) Slowdive: Souvlaki
4) The Cure: Disintegration
5) Sigur Ros: Takk

Ask me again tomorrow...I'm sure it'd be slightly different.

:rotfl

Aside from my number one, It's too hard to list four other albums as my favorite of all time.
I'm listing four albums that most people won't have on their list but are still favorites of mine.
1.The Beatles - Abbey Road
2.Mr. Bungle - California
3.Arcturus - La Masquerade Infernale
4.Volbeat - The Strength The Sound The Songs
5.My Dying Bride - Turn Loose The Swans

Classic Ol' goldies / 1 album fav. does not compute

All Pink Floyd remasters + WYWH immersion (working on the other 2)
Mighty Zepp remasters
Steely Dan remasters
Santana up to 90's / Don't care for new froots covering classics
Steve Miller Band / up to mid 80's
ELO (minus) - / No Answer, Can't dig it
Robin Trower / too much good stuff
All Hendrix All albums All box sets All the Time, No commercials, No Mercy!!
AC/DC / even the few new albums Rock
T. Rex
Joe Satriani / All of 'Em
Jeff Beck - Wired / there & back / blow by blow
Queen
Heart
the Police
Parliament
Marvin Gaye
Al Green
Sly & family Stone
Sinatra & Count Basie

...just a few Ol' skool goodies off the top.

You're the guy who burns in his own house in a melted pool of vinyl after the fire chief tells you you've got just enough time to grab your five favourite LPs.

As long as we're allowed the 'can change if need be' caveat - because it can / will. I could more easily do a top 10 albums than top 5, but with some sad whittling...

(Not in order)

The Beatles - Rubber Soul
radiohead - The Bends
Jeff Buckley - Grace
The Smiths - Strangeways, Here We Come
311 - Transistor

Don't know about my top five favorite albums but this one is my all time favorite:

Top 5
Metallica Master of Puppets
N.W.A Straight Outta Compton
The Smiths Louder Than Bombs
Vangelis Direct
Ratt Out of the Celler

...of course I like many, many different albums but I tried to include a few favorites from different genres.

i kinda skip diesel power and climbatize in anticipation of the next song...not that i dont like it. :lol

*i did modify their greatest hits/their law album, added the tracks from fat of the land not in there.lolz

Damn, skipping Diesel Power is some unknown, alien logic to me.
