Oh no not her.:monkey4

While she is awful, John's jealousy of Paul's output near the end of the band is probably the largest driving force for the breakup.

Yeah it still sucks to know that they weren't on the same page especially during The Let It Be sessions. Then not too long after Abbey Road calling it quits. Took them quite some time of course to reconcile after the breakup.

Pinkerton is definitely every bit as good as the Blue Album for sure :duff

Yeah it is. Too bad none of the albums after that come close to there first two.

These aren't neccisarely my favorite albums of all time, but they tend to frequent my stereo.

1.Minus the Bear-Menos el Oso
2.Rocky Votolato-Makers
3.Thrice-Major/Minor
4.The Gaslight Anthem-American Slang
5.Noah Gundersen-Family

My top five of anything could change entirely depending on my mood from one minute to the next, but here goes. Looking through the thread, I suspect I'm not quite on the same page as most people here musically...

Death Grips - The Money Store Death Grips - I've Seen Footage - YouTube
Kavinsky - OutRun Kavinsky - Protovision - YouTube
Lazerhawk - Skull And Shark Lazerhawk - A Promise - YouTube
Yellow Magic Orchestra - BGM Yellow Magic Orchestra-1000 Knives - YouTube
Tangerine Dream - The Keep OST The Keep - Deadly silver crosses scene - tangerine dream - YouTube

In no particular order.

My top five fluctuates, but generally the artists remain the same. These were the biggest musical milestones for me and each one added to my perception of what music could be. I wouldn't be into the stuff I'm into now, nor would I write songs the way I do without these.

Mike Oldfield - Tubular Bells
Mike Oldfield - Ommadawn
Vangelis - Spiral
Depeche Mode - Some Great Reward
Nine Inch Nails - The Fragile

Tool - Ænima (honorable mention)

I guess looking back at that list there's some sacrilege in not including anything that would be considered all-time classics like the White Album, or genre landmarks like Vincebus Eruptum, but all I seem to listen to these days is electronic music, Death Grips and The Revolution By Night by Blue Oyster Cult. If you'd told 16-year-old me, the archetypal metal gonk, that all he'd be listening to in the future is ambient synth noise and classical musical, he'd have probably killed himself :lol

I would have included some classical, but that becomes a nightmare because there's so many different recordings and variations pinning down one definitive album is almost impossible.

We are friends now :hi5:

Those are some of my favourites too.

But then, sometimes a definitive recording is undeniable. Leonard Bernstein and the Berlin Philharmonic performing Mahler's 9th.

So, I remembered how to count.

1) The Beatles
2) Animals - Pink Floyd
3) Ritual de lo Habitual - Jane's Addiction
4) Blues - Jimi Hendrix
5) Goo - Sonic Youth

I could spend a week listening to any of those first six Sabbath albums and decide that it was my #1. I have to qualify this list as my top five, not including Black Sabbath, Paranoid, Master of Reality, Vol.4, Sabbath Bloody Sabbath, or Sabotage.
