Yeah i'm sure the 3D version will be along soon enough but seeing as i don't have a 3D tv i'll not be needing that version.

I don't know if it's just me but I prefer 2D. 3D is cool at the cinema or occasionally now and then at home but I enjoy a film much more without it personally. :dunno

I wont be buying a 3D tv for a long time I'd think.

I know what you mean.
I saw Pixar's UP in 3D, but I was more impressed by the Blu-Ray picture.
That's why I saw Toy Story 3 in 2D

It's me too. I actually get migraines on a regular basis, and 3D just makes it worse. Resident Evil is the only movie I didn't get one after 30 minutes of continuous viewing. I usually have to take the glasses off for a minute or two after a while. I also think it's too much $$ to get into 3D right now, and definitely not worth it IMO.
I'd have to buy a new TV, glasses (most come with a pair, but what to do when I have people over to show off that fancy new 3D TV?? those glasses aren't cheap), and will probably need a new receiver (not sure, but doubt my Onkyo will support pass-through 3D), and then there's movies. Avatar and the new Resident Evil are the only movies that I'm interested in right now...besides Tron.

A big local shop near me is having a clearance, i think they don't want to sell movies anymore.

Every dvd you see was 3$, and the blu-rays 9$ each. I'm SUPER EXCITED, something like this happening here :D

Congrats on that, bud...really.
Wish such a mega-haul could happen here, actually.
Times are rare and when something like that happens, prices aren´t really good either...

I picked up Mean Streets for $5 from Big Lots. Haven't seen that movie in ages. Hopefully will get a chance to in the next couple of weeks or so.

And great haul, viezure. :rock

Thanks buddy :)

The same thing is true here, but this i'm pretty sure it's a one time only, i think the store wants to get rid of the movies. Literally, every dvd in there was the equivalent of 3$ (on most of them, old price was ~15$), some disney was 9$, same price as the blu-rays.

Believe me, it was like a wet dream :D, imagine walking in a store and on every shelf, every movie 3$ (that 10 star trek movies boxset was 30$, so still 3$ per dvd).

My little haul for today!

Firstly, I passed on the Avatar Extended Edition, only because I have my Asian Steelbook™ collectible package coming soon!

Today picked up the Christmas Carol 4 pack combo! What a nice deal! Using the 10 buck coupon (here in Canada anyway), it came out a bit cheaper then getting the standard bluray/dvd combo! So might as well get the whole shabang! Nice 3D Lenticular cover too! Quite pleased.

And also added another Disney Ironpack collectible to the collection and picked up Princess and the Frog!

It was also nice to see a whole selection of 3D bluray titles out on the shelf today as stand alone releases! Not only that, they came comboed with a regular Blu Ray as well! Nice touch.
Polar Express, Cats vs Dogs, Clash of the Titans, few Imax titles.
