I watched the director's cut of Alien awhile back on DVD.

Nothing like vintage Alien!

That's the HMV exclusive. The logo on the front is embossed. I think the steelbook from Amazon.de is the same.

I do. I have the Kino release i got last year but the UK version is better. There's better special features, better booklet and the subtitle cards during the movie are in original German instead of English translated, like the Kino release.

It would cost me over $7 per item shipping for anything through HMV so that's out. I would love the Paul one they have.

It would be close to $22 for the 3 discs that I wanted, plus, I'm not sure if it would cost me anymore than that. I didn't want to go through the entire checkout process with them to find out.

I'll try and see if I can pick it up elsewhere.

That is pretty nuts. The shipping can be a bit high since they charge full shipping per item so i only use them for Excl. Blu-Rays and CD's i can't from Amazon.

Hey Iron, is the UK Metropolis blu-ray region free? As for the subtitle cards, so they are German with english translations? I've been putting off getting this, but now you have me intrigued.
