True Grit on bluray today. :yess::

Saw this in the cinemas last year and loved it. I really feel Hailee Steinfeld was robbed of an Oscar, as was the cinematographer. :lecture

What country is that Robin Hood from? Really like the artwork and disappointed a DVD Steelbook wasn't offered with the same exact cover. It looks nice:hi5:

It's the Dutch version. I'm trying to remember if they released a DVD steelbook here... Now you can only get a regular DVD keepcase when you buy the film, but I'm not sure about the time when it was first released.

I figured I needed to act fast on the blu (especially since I waited for a good price on it) since 2nd or 3rd production runs might come in regular cases :lol

I need an awesome new bluray for my new system that is arriving today to go with my new 60 inch screen. Suggestions...

60? Nice! I bet Alien looks good on there.

Chose to watch Aliens first, after getting the whole shebang set up today. Will be watching Alien very soon...

Back to the film. :D

where are you from? I haven't ordered from The Netherlands in awhile but I do have a few stores I use. One appears to still have it. I'm sure Germany has a copy but I'm sure it has the ratings logo on it. I believe Thailand had a DVD Steelbook but I think it has a black border around the image so you don't get the full picture:(

I think the ratings on the German releases are just stickers (most of them, anyways), so you can peel them off, if you want.

I am from The Netherlands. I mostly pick up the Dutch versions of films, so sometimes I'm in luck and they'll make an awesome steelcase or whatever, other times it's just a regular case for me... :lol

I also think that the German version is the only true unrated version of this film out there. There about 10 moments in the film where you can see some bloodspatter that has been edited out of all the other versions. Nothing groundbreaking or anything, though...

I don't know if you know, but Buried was released in the UK with the wrong aspect ratio. They cropped it to fill out the screen.

I got the HMV exclusive version, the one that includes The Contestant movie, maybe it's fixed?
