The Friday series here is over $70 everywhere. I remember buying the set from Costco way back when it first came out for $38. Damn good deal imo.
That is a damn great deal. I was going to get it when it first came out but Walmart had 1-8 for $5 a piece and that was far better than paying $80 for the set. I also got GTH and X for $5 each. So I paid $50 for the entire set of individual dvds so I got a deal also.

They have the entire Nightmare series box set at Best Buy for $70 and Amazon probably has it cheaper. Same with the Friday series. :duff

I'd shop around before paying that much for either one of them. I paid $100 for the Nightmare set when it first came out. I remember seeing it on clearance dirt cheap a while ago.

I remember it being that much and never got it because that was more than I was willing to spend. I suggest Amazon for price shopping.

I think (hope) i can find it alot cheaper then that :horror But is it worth it. Of the movies in both box-set's which one's are worth watching? Also, i saw the Friday movies, or some of them, has been re-released on DVD and Bleu-Ray. Are they any better the the one's in the box-set?

I'm not into re-buying dvds unless it is absolutely worth it. So I don't own any of the redone dvds so I can't help you there. BUT the Freddy set is sweet! It has 3D menus on every DVD, 2 pairs of 3D glasses, a book and a 8th dvd of nothing but features. Plus all the dvds side by side in the box makes a pic of Freddy. Really sweet set.

:lecture Yeah what he said. Mine's in storage or else I'd post a picture. I wouldn't mind buying a NOES and F13 set on Blu Ray. I would also love a Halloween set....with all of the movies. :rolleyes

~~~ completely forgot about this. Comes out next week:
Can't wait to get that set!
Just bought it, bro. :D Hopefully it'll be here next week and it is going to be the first one I watch. :chew I know I'm going to love it.
You will love the feel more than anything else. Imo the film crew was way ahead of their time. Classic 70's man!
When you said it was like Halloween and The Exorcist I broke and officially decided I had to get it. :lol I just got it for $11 shipped. Not bad IMO. Will you be watching it for Christmas? :monkey3
I watch the remake for Christmas so I know I'll be watching this. :lol Have you seen the remake yet?
No :banghead I can't find it anywhere! I will take a "better" look around town maybe today. Well once you've watched the original give me your honest opinion on the two then.
Yeah will do. I think I'll like the original better but I liked the remake. Oh and here's some trivia for ya:
In the remake they have the leg lamp on a table in the girls dorm as a throwback to the director of the original who was also the director of A Christmas Story. :lol Pretty wicked he did Black Christmas and A Christmas Story.
