Sadly, my wife bought Secrets of friends Past on blu. She had a 's night on Saturday watching the flick. Hey, I'll buy Terminator on Tuesday and macho things up again.

But the key is that she bought a Blu and that is the beginning, your wife is clearly clued into the format and that of course is all the license you need.

:lecture :lol

I picked up an oldie but still a classic "Interview with a Vampire" on blu a couple weeks ago. Still a great movie, but probably doesn't need to be on bluray. Didn't offer anything more that DVD version except the standard inteactive menu.

Good thing it was on sale and less than $10 when I bought it.

I have alot of VHS movies, some haven't even been opened. Anybody want? :lol

Probably make good target practice.

The sellers at the swap meet can't even sell Disney VHS tapes for $1 at the swapmeet.

I suggest donate to goodwill and lie on your taxes as a major charitable contribution.

When looking on eBay, I'm surprised at which VHS tapes that people are paying good money for. Of course I don't have any other those. :(

Thats a problem i'm finding with most "value priced" Blu Rays. Some of them come out released at an original low price. Makes me think they have a different class of Blu Ray compared to the average $25+ ones.

One recent (and newer made movie) that dissapointed me was Traffic. DVD quality and sound at best but was only $10 so........

Need to add that on blu... I have a sealed DVD version there, but I refuse to crack in hopes of snagging a Blu version and selling the sealed one.

Hmmmm.... nice week for everyone including me, I got to fill a few holes in the collection. :D

Silence of the Lambs
Up
Monsters Inc.
Star Trek Wrath of Khan
Star Trek Voyage Home
Star Trek Undiscovered Country
Monsters vs. Aliens
Gladiator
Die Another Day
Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs

And after seeing today's listing... more to come !

Never realized the I am Legend was the Collectors edition on Friday ! Nice Score.

I think it has more to do with them being catalog pieces vs. "new releases". That is all it has to do with some pricing... if studios put more into the transfer... more $$.

Yep, I was happy about that. And on a 120" screen, she can no longer deny that she sees the obvious difference between a regular DVD and a blu.

This is a great set and IMO one of the best shows ever. Its one of those shows that I don't mind paying full price for...and I had the DVD set since day one also. I gave it to my grandfather for his B-day a few months ago.

Well,
I recently bought the PS3 Ghostbusters videogame, it was on sale @ Amazon...
Also bought the UP Blu-Ray...
Now for the crazy part of my story... I don't have a PS3 or a BD player...
:lol
I hope I can get a PS3 for Christmas though... couldn't pass on a couple of deals...

I know how you feel on the not having a PS3. I bought Batman Arkham Asylum back when it first came out, yet I didn't have a PS3 yet. It wasn't until today when I got my first PS3. :lol

Thanks man, now just to have the time to actually watch them. :banghead
