Well, the main reason for that purchase was the 3D, I'll put up with a bobblehead Terminator for a few seconds for that

I'm good with the matching art on the current 4K releases. That is an awesome looking steel but would be more appropriate for 4K77 IMO.
And that's another thing! I'm waiting for 4K discs of that, whenever that might happen. But I so love the original artwork for the OT movie posters, that I had to get it. The original Jung style A is what got me to fall in love with movie posters in the first place.

Perhaps when actual 4K discs of 4K77 are available, perhaps I will use the steelbook for those.

Surprises that DVD/Blu-ray thread is still alive. I don't have any disks at all.

Even with streaming Discs look better and I will always get a physical copy if possible. Rather own it to watch whenever than rely on streaming. I understand though for people with little to no space though.

I will always prefer owning a hard copy of a movie, and with 3D, which I enjoy, 90% of 3D movies are only available on disc.

Also with 4K, streaming is pointless, as I've never seen a streamed movie that compare to its disc counterpart.

And besides, with a disc, I'll always own it. If the studio decides to, technically they can remove your digital copy whenever they want.

Now was the original JungA poster MINUS the droids ever released into the wild or did the JungA that were sent out always include the droids.

If I?m not mistaken Fox hired an Aquaman cartoonist to create those droids as Jung had already moved on lol

Or it was the Hildebrant bros I don?t remember anymore

Edit:

Very confusing that damn poster release was lol

Oldest known image of JungA is from July 77

Droids are there but that is definitely not the Hildebrandt bros version still Jung but with droids

My head hurts.

Damn look how young me and Khev look lol

I never heard that about the Jung poster not having the droids. That is a legendary poster. It's my second favorite poster for Star Wars. My favorite is still this one but the Jung A poster is close. The Hildebarant poster is cool but I never liked it as much as the others.star-wars-a-new-hope-poster.jpg

I never heard of the droid-less style A. To this day, I still don't understand why they bothered with the Hildebrand version, which in my opinion is inferior by a wide margin.

I also like the British quad version of the style A, both of which I own.

I like the style C, but not as much as the A, or for that matter, the D

"The droids were added later.

And by a different artist! While the lovable protocol droid and astromech duo have become a fixture on nearly every major Star Wars ad graphic to date, their inclusion on the famous Style A artwork was essentially an afterthought. In a strange twist, the droids were only added after a second, more fanciful version of the Jung composition was completed by the Hildebrandt Brothers, who included it in their version for newspaper ads. When the marketers at 20th Century Fox decided they wanted the droids included on Jung’s poster version as well, the artist was not immediately available. As a result, Nick Cardy, who’s famous for his ‘60s comic book covers of Aquaman and Teen Titans, stepped in to add the droids before the poster went to press."

I never knew that. I can't imagine the poster without the Droids since that is all I have seen for the Jung Poster. It is an awesome poster but as a kid I was disappointed that Leia didn't look that in the movie. I guess that is why we got Slave Leia.
