I made this post a couple of months ago in the Myers thread, but it probably has more relevance here.

A few years back I was in Philly and came across an old man selling a bunch of old Philadelphia 76ers basketball games on VHS.
I purchased the lot from him and was excited to get home and check out these vintage basketball games that nobody had seen in 20-25 years.

To my surprise he had recorded some tv shows & movies on these tapes as well.

Turns out he also recorded the original "Halloween". But what makes it so cool is he recorded it on October 31, 1981.
It was the very first airing ever of "Halloween" on national tv (NBC). It includes the missing scenes (Loomis talking to young Michael in the hospital, etc), all of the original commercials & some great warnings to viewers about how shocking and graphic this movie is.

I think that stuff may be included on last year's bluray release. But I could be wrong, because it's not ringing a bell. I may be confused with the Halloween 2 release. Hmmmm. I wanna see all that.

I've always been a fan of monster films. I picked up the old universal monsters blu ray set so I plan on throwing those on this month. Aside from those, basically:

The Thing
The Thing Prequel
Leviathan
Trick r' Treat
Alien Quadrilogy (**** AVP)
Predator 1 & 2
Romeros Dead Trilogy
28 Days Later
The Mist
The Fly
The Blob
Monster Squad.
Also Nightbreed the cabal cut is supposed to come out at the end of the month so that would be a good one for Halloween.
