I'm off in an hour to meet up with a friend for a drink at the Drafthouse bar, and then Annabelle. I'll give my two cents when I'm back.

If anyone is looking to watch a boss werewolf movie this year I highly recommend Dog Soldiers. It's been number one on my list for many years now.

Annabelle was his weakest one yet. :( I was hoping Insidious two would be it but nope, he made this one. It wasn't bad and had a few good moments but he really should have expanded on the mythology. I wouldn't say 'don't see it' because that would be dumb. I would say, don't have high expectations. This was no Insidious or Conjuring.

I can easily say what I would have left out, and what I would have expanded on. However, I need to finish my coffee first.

Think I might go watch a horror flick now before football starts at noon.

That's how I feel about Insidious. I fell asleep watching it a few years back and never bothered to rewatch the whole thing.

I love Insidious. One of my favorites. It's really unique. I do feel it lost some of it's appeal closer to the end of the film. Only because of the execution, though.

Dead Silence, Insidious and Conjuring are all on my fave's list of his. All great in my opinion. I think his ideas are fantastic and usually, execution is brilliant but once in a while, he lacks in output and he lacked with Chapter 2, and Annabelle. It's okay, if they give me the money, I can go fix it.

I watched a netflix movie today called "the Hole." What was I thinking? Would have been better if it was sexy film.

Insidious did start to fall apart in it's final act but I do agree that it was down to it's execution and not the idea. That Red-Faced demon was creepy. :panic:

Just got done watching The Fly. Such an awesome film. A true Remake that went right. Just love it!

Love this film. A shame Aliens came out the same year and stole much of its thunder.

Exactly! The Fly should of been more looked at. I just finished watching The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 1974 on the 40th Anniversary Blu-Ray. Quality and sound is awesome. Really made the film look perfect. Still one of my favorite horror movies of all time. But of course the Universal Monster classics are up there with it. You can never beat those.
