If true I'll be forced to buy it. I'll buy movies I already own for a new scan, but not for new packaging.

Looks more vibrant than the blu ray release too. Not sure I'm liking that. I like the grittiness of the release we have now.

Interesting. I know TCM is showing this film in theatres. I wonder if we are getting this version of the film. I own the Blu-ray but I haven't watched it yet to see the quality. I want to go see this in theatres this year so I'm hoping I can. Last year was the Dracula Double Feature. Oh and I watched Phantom of the Opera 1925 on Blu-ray last night. I watched the 24 frames per sec version. My Blu-ray has 3 different cuts of the film.

There were a couple who have made it on Blu-ray but this is the newest release that came out last year and the best. Kino Classics. Highly worth the pick up!
