Exactly! It's hard to pick which role I like better that Karloff plays because everything is iconic and I love Frankenstein's Monster but the Mummy/Ardeth Bay is just sweet.

Poltergeist was one of the movies I was terrified of watching when I was very young. Good choice!

I picked up Re-Animator on Amazon for 5.99 yesterday, arrives tomorrow. I'm looking forward to seeing it for the first time.

Very cool. I know you enjoy that B movie campiness so this one will deliver.
The main actor Jeffrey Combs is a good over actor.

Finally done with my Universal Classics Monster movies marathon. I don't think I'll do that again, but it was fun watching these iconic horror villains back to back. Very nostalgic for me.

One of the things that really impressed me is how these movies relied more on writing and acting to scare you versus using special effects and gore.

There's no doubt... these movies will stand the test of time. 'Classics' is a fitting name to describe them.

No doubt. These new movies rely on jump scares and scary dolls lol. There's something about the black and white that really adds to the feel of the old classics too.

Last night I watched The Others.
It's a very good story and the acting by Nicole Kidman and the rest of the co-actors was believable.
The movie may have been overshadowed by The Sixth Sense, which was released a couple of years earlier, because of having a similar plot.

Don't expect a bloodbath or high body count. Atmosphere, intensity, spine tingling moments are all represented here from start to finish.
