Yes, I love the look. He looks like he came straight out of hell. The night scenes are definitely awesome because of his glow.
One of my favorite scenes is when he first does the atomic breath during the daytime. A massive amount of air out of his mouth, gushing between the buildings and destroying everything that wasn't cemented to the ground. I had no idea what he was doing or what to expect. Next, you hear the air ignite and he's breathing fire. Then the final stage. Purple nuclear juice with a nice sonic pitch to it! You can hear it making a constant laser-blast noise. I loved that scene!
Agreed, the ending was not great by any means. But this one is screaming for a sequel. I doubt Toho will leave it like this.
Definitely going to get a sequel at some point. It was a good addition to the series. I'd like to get some collectibles from the film but a lot of the figures are only being sold in Japan so Neca is my only hope at this point and to go on eBay to get a Bandai figure. Banepreso is out of the context and x-plus I'm not sure if we will get it here. Hopefully we get a Blu-ray release at some point too. I did enjoy it. When I first walked out I just kept saying interesting because it was so different but different is good. Glad the king is back.
