I got mine on order with Amazon their stock should be arriving last week april first week May still sold out at Best Buy this is one I definitely want on disc.

While I greatly enjoyed ZSGL and his universe I do think that Marvel has a better angle with attaching their superhero drama to the blip with every day people versus these bigger than life gods fighting in an isolated location like Chernobyl or a desolated future the human connection really seems missing from the Snyderverse.

As I keep saying over and over. If DC took the time to flesh out there main characters and have faith in them then they?d rival marvel. They don?t get the stories or what makes these characters work aside from Batman. He?s pretty simple tho. Just stick to what works abd make him dark.

We got vision before Martian manhunter. Really shame . Like seriously how do you take this long for a flash film?

But hey I?m excited for the new battison film but everything else is going to suck imo.

Also while the Snyder cut was good I don?t think he is capable of telling a good story in an hr or 2 hr film so I don?t believe restoring his verse will bring the same level as marvel.

I just think DC needs way better management. A fiege or someone who knows comics. Or has faith the characters can sell.

Marvel made a tree and a talking raccoon popular. DC was scared to put Wonder Woman out cause they thought she wouldn?t sell. Crazy

No they were afraid. A Wonder Woman movie was in development hell for years and they even canceled the tv show in like 2009 I think . They had no faith she would sell. It wasn?t until marvel and the women empowerment movement that DC finally released the movie. They went on record saying they didn?t think most of there characters would sell. Batman abd Robin is a huge reason why. They got so scared from that movie

Best comic film released? Nah. If we talking mcu vs Dceu then infinity war is way better than Snyder cut. Snyder cut wasn?t anything new or groundbreaking. It was a hero team up film fighting a big bad. We?ve seen that before. It was still good but best comic film? Nah.
It was better than the majority of mcu films maybe but still
I put Spider-Man 2 and tdk and infinity war way above it. Also Batman returns .

Yes, to me Infinity War is way up there. I enjoyed the heck out of Endgame and the big "assembly" at the end but Infinity War is just a very well made film from start to finish. I liked the Snyder cut "ok", but it's far from the best comic book film in my book. TDK is also an excellent movie, but I credit a lot of that to Ledger's Joker. Of course, all of this is our personal opinion so to each their own...

Marvel has multiple movies that were social or pop culture phenomenon's (The Avengers, Black Panther, Infinity War, Endgame)

Marvel has a complete 23 film narrative that will never be achieved in cinematic history again.... AND IT IS STILL GOING.

Marvel has multiple movies that are considered to be the greatest comic book film of all time (Iron Man, The Avengers, The Winter Soldier, Guardians of the Galaxy, Civil War, Ragnarok, Black Panther, Infinity War, Endgame).

Not to mention that fact that ZSJL is not the best comic book movie. You can look at HUNDREDS of film review sites and the consensus is that the best comic book film of all time is undoubtedly Nolan's The Dark Knight because it remains to be the only film that transcended the genre and solidified itself as one of the greatest FILMS of all time, not just comic book films.

Just revisited Aquaman. WOW the visuals. It might have the best visuals of any cbm period. Hell some of the best visuals of any MOVIE period. Just mindblowing.

As for the film itself it really is just a fun adventure yarn. Nothing more nothing less. But like ZSJL I'm finding that I'm just enjoying living in this "world" more and more and so this is yet another movie where I'm enjoying the long run time. Entertaining characters, entertaining action, good music and an overall fun ride. And LOL at how insanely violent Black Manta's fall off the cliff into the water was.

And I agree with jye that the dual rooftop battle/chase might be one of the best (or the best) ever put on film. The Snyder cut has really made me re-evaluate the whole DCEU because now I'm already looking forward to revisiting AM too.

MOS, BvS, WW, SS(?), ZSJL, and AM make for a really solid cinematic universe IMO.

I put the "?" after SS because I haven't seen it in a while and am not sure if it's faults will be more glaring five years later to the point where it is now unwatchable or whether its link to the Snyder Cut (Affleck, Leto, and a decent HQ) will elevate it just like the others. Looking forward to binging the whole thing now that I have access to the proper BvS.

Yep a contingent of Snyder fans are definitely screwing it up for everyone else. It sounded like Ayer's hardcore cut of SS was all edited and ready to go prior to studio mandated reshoots/editing and all they had to do was just put it on HBO Max. But the review bombing of other movies and other stupid crap is making WB refuse on principle. I guess AT&T could override them like they did with Snyder but unfortunately the whole "toxic fandom" moniker that WB is running with seems to have a leg to stand on thanks to the idiots. Oh well.

But yes I literally lol'd when Manta went off the cliff and was all "holy **** the dude just wanted to avenge his dad" but instead has to the suffer the most violent non-death in cinematic history.
