Sorry you cannot save this film , those flying AOTC Genosians , superhero landings , flipping cars in CGI, slow motion walking.....

It?s all so formulaic and way over stylized.

I loved Dawn of the Dead and Watchmen.....but this looks like pulpy comics brought to life......

Not my bag.....and UGH the awful CGI.

Dc never believed in there characters. They didn?t think WW or flash would sell. They don?t like there characters enough to put risk in them. It was only after marvel that we got our first Batman and Superman movie.

Marvel pretty much mad a movie of all its popular properties, DC is still on Batman and some of the JL. I think getting Snyder is a mistake. I think his take on DC is awful but for some reason people want to see his cut. I?m intrigued by it but it?s time to move on. How many batmen are we going to put on screen? That flash film will probably merge the battison universe with the dceu. Who knows. I feel like DC just needed to sit back and do it?s on thing and not try and be Marvel . They shouldn?t of gotten Snyder for mos and should of gotten a planner like fiege to map out the films.

From all accounts, Snyder did have the Superman-Batman-JL arc planned out, but it was WB's interference that rushed things. Also, I think they (WB) actually are doing heir own thing now, embracing the multiverse idea in a way that the MCU has not done. I think that's a ballsy move, and one that allows (hopefully) for less formulaic movies and heroes.

From all accounts, Snyder did have the Superman-Batman-JL arc planned out, but it was WB's interference that rushed things. Also, I think they (WB) actually are doing heir own thing now, embracing the multiverse idea in a way that the MCU has not done. I think that's a ballsy move, and one that allows (hopefully) for less formulaic movies and heroes.

I think WB has figured out that mainstream audiences have been groomed for some of the wilder ideas in comics thanks to the MCU, and are finally making a smart move in exploiting that opening instead of trying to merely mimic.

Now it comes down to if they can stick the landing.

Dunno how that genius thing got started. I can see how his vision would be more compelling to very angry young boys though.

(I didn?t mind MoS. Like most superhero movies the ending was overdone and drawn out, but otherwise it?s fine barring a few weird choices).

As for HBO not putting this out on physical media... Well I will get HBO max.. Watch it.. And then Buy the bootleg.. Which will be top notch quality since it will be taken from HBO... I dont like doing that but if that is the corner they paint me into then so be it.. Now when they get around to an official release.. then they can have my money again.


Unless it really really sucks... Then the bootleggers are out of luck also

Snyder has the Michael Bay effect: significant amount of CGI > story/characters, just with a darker aesthetic.
