Same here. If I hated DC and/or Snyder I wouldn't have bought the 1/6 Jazzinc Batmobile along with many of the figures from his DCEU. Just because we're not continuously drinking the Kool-Aid doesn't mean we can't still find it occasionally refreshing.

Ok now THAT is bad ***! :rock

But stop blaming JW last I checked he doesn’t own WB

That being said had he had any sense of decency he would’ve turned down the job out of respect for Snyder and respect for himself

Re: Zack Snyder's Justice League coming in 2021

Is that the scene where he teaches his kid to just let kids drown if so I agree a real tear jerker breaks me up everytime lol

Don't be glib.
That scene has a lot of emotional and philosophical depth. On the one hand it deals with a father's love for his son, how he is willing to put his son's life and well-being above anything else. And do remember this is coming from a couple who couldn't have any children and by nothing short of a "miracle" are given a son. And a very special one at that. On the other hand, it deals with a man's understanding of how people and the world in general react to "supernatural" phenomena. He knows that his son will be either idolised or demonised, or both. And he's right.
Those thoughts are at the core of Snyder's movies. The love of parents for their children and the sacrifices they are willing to make for them (Jor-El and Pa Kent both sacrifice their lives for their son) and the trauma of losing one's parents (Clark continually mourns the loss of his father and misses his pragmatic and sober worldview to help him deal with what is going on around Superman, not to speak of Batman's obvious trauma which is well known), and the reaction of the world to super-human beings (and vigilantes) are themes that are explored both in MOS and BvS.
Are those ideas well presented, well written in the movies? Clearly, for a lot of people not, but I do see them and appreciate them.
You choose to just see a father telling his son to let others die, but there is a lot more to it, whether you want to acknowledge it or not.

He probably knew he needed to cash that paycheck before the levee broke on all of these allegations. Ironically, if he hadn't taken the job who knows how much longer CC and company would have remained silent about his behavior. Ray Fisher's beef with him turned out to be the catalyst.

Just saw this after I asked you to elaborate.

Okay, here's my opinion on this:

Ideas are a dime a dozen. Even good and great ideas. Execution is hard. That's what helps to make great art.

The subtext running through these films isn't exactly subtle but it doesn't need to be, that's not my issue. I think Snyder executed poorly. If it works for you, great, enjoy it.

I actually liked Man Of Steel for a lot of reasons, but for me it failed primarily on Pa Costner's manner of death, and secondarily on the drawn-out boring city-destroying battle that A LOT of superhero films fail with.

Although I read Superman comics from childhood to about the age of 15, I didn't have a big problem with him killing Zod in the film, just the way that fight played out.

And I also understand Snyder was taking risks, but the answer is in the word 'risk' -- sometimes you fail.

Man Of Steel isn't terrible but it's kind of mediocre for me with some high points thrown in.

Yes, quite bad ***. But given the size of that thing and that of the Knight Crawler, more than suspension of disbelief is required to buy that this Batman still has a secret identity. I can't imagine it would be too difficult to track either one back to Bruce's secret lair. :lol Maybe it's intended for one-time use, then he starts the self-destruct countdown.
