This is ridiculous, a four hour movie was never going to happen. 3 1/2 at most, and that would be pushing it. If this indeed ends up as episodes, it could be very good, as there is enough room to explore the characters and still get the "kick *** action scenes" JYE wants.
Admittedly, I would have preferred for this to be released theatrically, but the chances were always slim to none, I always thought we'd get a blu-ray and have done with it.

It would be incredible if a streaming platform offered the possibility to see either a straight 4hours movie or same movie in 6 episodes ala THE HATEFULL EIGHT on netflix.

To clear that up, the episodes format was an option brought up in the conversation that followed the screening of the Snyder cut to WB. First thing is to finish the movie then see how exploit it.

What's really sad about the people reactions out there, positive or n?gative is that 80% of it is based on ''we know **** but we are going to talk about it'' , sad because the information is out there.

For exemple is the cut finished?
Yes since early 2017, when Snyder posted a picture from the color timing room. And Larry Fong explained it, the color timing aka digital intermediate is done only when picture is locked.

Most people also don't know that they saw only 15% of what Snyder shot in the Whedon JLA theatrical cut. Some think it's going to be just a longer version of that cut even when Snyder says its something entirely different.

Whedon can't shoot anything that looks like cinema. Everything he does is tv tailored. Avengers is good fun story and dialogue wise but painful to watch. I'm glad he's going back where he belongs.

I wont link it but ill never forget your first reactions to bvs, you said you loved it but the a few od your buddies on this forum hated it and you joined the heard of its cool to blast snyder and dceu movies. As superhero fan you should welcome this, everything is being delayed during covid theaters are closed indefinitely yet we have some superhero project in the works we can watch from the confort of our own homes. If it sucks it sucks but i dont get your resistence or your inclination to attack it. How does it this cut threaten your existence or why does it make you so angry. Seriously

I find the Snyder verse to be far more Interesting than the comics or the marvel stuff.
Doesn't mean I'm right or that your fandom sucks.
Just enjoy what you like, ignore the rest and don't by spoil the fun of your fellow fan.

Joker ****ing made most biased marvel warriors eat ****. How many Actors have won an acedemy award for playing a marvel character? Yet dc has 2 already. If turns out good great. I understand where JYE is coming from. Yes his taste in Star Wars film is terrible but I get it when it comes to DC.

I?m a DC fan myself and I think the Snyder verse should be forgotten and dead. I think aside from Batman , aquaman and WW everything was handled poorly .

A Snyder cut won?t magically fix the glaring problems the dceu had. You look at the Joker and see how DC films should be made and can be ground breaking master pieces with no restrictions to please the kids or none of that.

Then we slide on back to **** like birds of prey and we are right back to the crap we tried to get out of.

I want Pattinson Batman yo be a brand new start. A fresh slate. But now we are gonna have the rotten corpse of the Snyder verse attached to it and it?s fans begging for it to be canceled. It?s already happening. DC as a whole is just a **** company with no direction.

They released the new animated apokolips movie with immense fan fare but somehow they can?t do the same in live action. They are impatient and very out of touch .

Affleck Batman was great but a 20 yr seasoned Batman vs a 2yr rookie superman was ****ing stupid imo.

You know whats an even bigger win.

Disney put up the MCU and SW on Disney + AS THEY WERE without the need to spend an additional 30 million on each of those 34 movies PLUS the Mandalorian, that?s a win.

Imagine if Disney had to spend an additional 30 million for each:

23 MCU movies
9 Skywalker Saga movies
RO
Solo (especially Solo lol)

Before putting them up on D+

I bet WB still needs to turn a profit on JL to begin with.

Wrong.

JL made its budget back only just with the theatrical release. So now they are spending 30m to give us a movie that will likely be 75% different from the whedon cut. That is a 300m movie for 30m.

Big misconception about me is that I hate DC movies and characters.

While I grew up with mostly marvel comic books I also grew up with only DC movies, sorry Hulk tv show.

Think about this our FIRST LEGIT Marvel based movie wasn?t until freaking Blade!

That means I fell in love FIRST with STM, STM2, B89 and BR!

I love DC movies they were kings of cinema until they finally stumbled with B&R but then they fully rebounded with BB and TDK but then stumbled again with SR.

Not my fault that RDJ jumped into superhero movies and conquered the freaking world.

Not my fault that WB went and literally hired the guy who directed the Avengers thinking that was the only thing needed to make JL as big and successful as Avengers.

I want an epic 4 hour JL movie in the theater dammit, where it belongs, where it can spread its wings and take us on an amazing journey.

I am capable of loving both Marvel and DC simultaneously you know lol

I have no idea we shall see. Is has been reported that the theatrical version only had 1/4 of the filmed footage that Wb has so i believe this will be a very different movie.

Not sure if you're actually serious, but...
What I'm hoping for is better cinematography, better music score, a tone and atmosphere more aligned with the earlier movies (MOS and BvS), no silly jokes, no mutant Henry Cavill CGI, and a more cohesive story and better character arcs that bring better closure to what was set in motion in BvS.

I'd like that too but regardless of where I'm at when I watch it, I expect it will fall short of amazing. Even with the additional character development hinted at in the Snyder Cut trailer, it will still likely seemed rushed compared to the MCU approach. Granted an Aquaman movie has been released since this was filmed, but WB/DC only bothered to do 2 solo movies prior to throwing everyone together (and that was without potential appearances by MM, GL and Deathstroke). When you throw that many new heroes into the mix (not to mention Darksied), there's only so much character development you can add to get the audience invested in them and still have time to tell a coherent story.

Cause in Snyder?s version he does wear the black suit. If anything was changed in post production it was the studio adding the color back or simply reshooting the scenes of him in the colored costume leading to mustache gate

He will be wearing it for most of his cut of the film, execs thought it was too dark everything too dark they fix it with the whedon crap we got. Dont you remember when henry cavil posted that black costume shield on his twitter feed? Well that was before the studio interference and mass changes and before they fired snyder and hired horny whedon. Zack had already begun filming Scenes for justice league right after bvs post production and before its release and critical backlash that cause wb?s weak minded excecs to **** their pants and then meddle even more with what he was doing. The meddling started after man of steel, and got worse with each movie to the point they were no longer zack snyder movies. I still find it funny that whedon refused to claim justice league that it said a film by zack snyder. That must have pissed zack off so much. Atleast we finally get to see his vision with no interference, last time that happened was man of steel and i loved that movie, haters be damned

He was originally supposed to wear the black suit, but none of that was ever filmed. Here are a few shots of superman that Zack shot that actually made it into the film.

Edit: In the link you posted at the end of the video it says that they never shot footage of Cavill in the black suit. Michael Wilkinson( the costume designer) confirmed it.

All the progress that's been made? What progress? DC hasn't done anything since Aquaman. So you're content with films like Birds of Prey and Shazam? Is that the progress you're referring to? No thanks.
