I have only a limited appreciation for 3D. A little depth to the backgrounds, it is cool. But other aspects of the effect...like stuff shooting off the screen at the audience...is really kids stuff to me.

That crap can be left to Captain Eo as far as I am concerned.

On the other hand...I do really enjoy watching movies from the back of the theater on an Imax screen.

THAT bumps the movie coolness meter up a notch or two.

Imax drive-ins. That is what we need.

I'm at my local theater waiting to see it! The premiere starts in 1 hour! So hype right now!!!
When I get home later, I will let you know how was it =)

Sorry for the late, guys! u.u
I'm from Argentina. Last night I was on the premiere, but the films opens this Thursday.

Well, here I go. Don't want to spoil anything, but be aware.

(** MAYBE SOME SPOILERS ***)

They've managed to sell you something, an action movie, so you want to go and see it. Girls, guns, zombies, blahbalbha, which is not. Seemed superficial, but not, again. The action is not factor number one, despite of that being the most you see on the film. They've told us YOU WILL BE UNPREPARED.
It has a pretty strong story, some may be not be prepared for that.
I'm glad I was right about this film. D-doll's story was very heavy itself and no many people paid attention to that. Somethings can be covered up with color-lights and cgi, but just for a while, then comes the sucker-punch.
It's a complex movie, with a lot of thing a lot of people wouldn't like nor understand. If you want to see a great action flick, maybe for a while, you will enjoy the movie.. but passed the first half of the movie you will want to stand up and go.
Go to the theater with the idea of watching something heavy in emotion covered with a lot of lights and action and bla, but heavy.

And for the other hand, as expected, the visuals and sounds of the movie are great. ALL the universes are great with a great score.

Maybe for future films Zack will have to check out some stuff, but in general, the film is very good, not excelent, but very very good. I really felt the emotion on it.

Hope this work for you guys. If you wan't to know something more or some spoilers, send me a MP =)

Regards to all of you!

I saw that you said Rocket was one of your favs (I had a feeling she'd be one of mine too... the actress is great!)

Were Amber and Blondie's roles really small? I know they both have the least screen time, but do we still get to see them for a good bit?

The final cut was quite different in town from the first from several months ago. I think it's more focused now.

The movie sounded freakin' awesome as an action flick.

If we get some deep commitment with it as well...it sounds even better!

I have been wondering how deeply they are going to explore B-Doll's abuse. They make it look on the trailer like pretty much every person she ever trusted abused her.

I am even more stoked to see this flick, now.

Yeap Hunnipot, yo get to see all the girls in action. Every girl is really important on the story and the final moments of the movie.
But, beware. The characters have 2 sides. The one on Babydoll imagination (castle fight, WW I stage, etc) and the one in the reality (asylum)

The movie, like Irish says, is very well focused on the story. The important thing is what happen to this girls. Not the fact of girls fightings dragons and steam punk german soldiers (but I must admit that it' pretty cool, jaja)

Yeah, there is some pretty dark, disturbing stuff that underlines the proceedings.

So this movie is like Pan's Labrynth right? All the action scenes are in the girl's imaginations?
