Filmmakers should learn from their mistakes but not by listening to some nitwit who doesn't know ____ from shinola when it comes to making movies.

I'd be willing to bet that most people who bash critics don't understand that there is more to film than just an opinion of if it entertains you or not. If an english teacher grades a critical thinking piece they don't just base a grade on their enjoyment while reading it. They look at content, grammar, spelling, creativity and thought, structure, cohesiveness, etc., etc. It's not much different for a critic but they get bashed for doing their job and sharing their opinion of a work.

Bingo. Even I, someone who DID like this movie, can point out, the characters werent that great, the story was a bit muddled, and the plot had issues. But I got what I wanted out of it, so it worked for me.

The trailer makes the movie look good.

But my instincts say it's crap. The kotaku review agrees with my instincts, and answered the only REAL question i had about the movie's "story" if it can be called that.

This is the point i think some people are missing. All indicators are leaning towards the movie being a steaming pile of doggie-poop. But it's ok. You can like bad movies, but that doesn't make them good cinema.

Some how I knew you'd quote me Josh.
I was partly joking but The Spirit comes to mind as well as Clash of the Titans, and not to mention Origins which you did.
Some could make a case for the Watchmen as well or Superman Returns for that matter.
PotC 4 isnt looking promising either...
Can you name a mainstream reviewer that has given the movie a positive review?
I'm hearing uniformly bad feedback, not 100% but nobody agrees on everything.
Hell, some people dont think planes were flown into the towers.

HT is a reliable guage? Since when? I dig Wolverines Origin and there are plenty of people out there that hate that film.

Also how do you know its gonna suck? Cause you have a couple folks in here talking about how bad it is? I mean really. There are more folks in here talking about that its a good flick. Not great but worth kicking back and enjoying the visions on screen.

Meh. Everyone who hates this movie didnt really get what it was doing. Not trying to be a douche here....but if when you were a kid, you used to have epic fights in your backyard with nothing, but imagined worlds, and battles, you will totally get what this movie is saying.

If you didnt...well...you dont. Doesnt make either party smarter, or dumber.

I just got back from watching Sucker Punch…I loved it!

The combination of all three realities made for a great fantasy film and a fun time at the movies!

The visuals were astonishing, the action sequences were fantastic and the underlying story line, although weak, was decent IMO.

One of my friends I went with didn't get the movie at all and my cousin came away with something completely different than I did.

In the end we all enjoyed it for one reason or another.

Everyone at rotten tomatoes can ____ off and suck it.
