Seriously, so it doesn't count unless it's on screen?

Exactly, you can't have it both ways. Suggest the violence (to make more money and get a kiddy rating) and not actually show it but then dismiss the suggested off screen sex.
And calling anyone who finds it inappropriate "nerds" just about sums up the intelligence level of this piece of trash.:monkey4

My original post said that there was rape in all of his films. I never mentioned it takes place on screen, just that there is someone who's raped, been raped, *insert creepy black guy bum you gonna get raped pic*. On screen, off screen shouldn't matter. It's an odd subject matter to have in almost all your films you've made no?

To be fair, it's only two movies, Watchmen, and Sucker Punch. And Watchmen, it was the product of Alan Moore....so not his fault.

300 was consensual. Not wanted...but she accepted the butt sex to save her hubby. She's a good wife. :lecture

WTF? What was step dad about to do before Babydoll shot? What do you mean "He just kills her?" He just kills who?
Honestly have you seen the movie?
Hmm?
Don't insult our intelligence please.

No. I have't seen the movie. Never read any version of the actual script. And I never sat in any production meetings and was never on set. In fact, I don't know a single thing about this movie, what its real themes are or what is actually happening in any of the scenes. I'll defer to your expertise.

As far as insulting intelligence... no further comment.

:lol
If you call that consensual sex you've got a troubled future ahead of you. But if you take that one, what about the molesting of the oracle and the things done to her? Wait...nevermind that's only implied.

Depends on what country you live in.:slap Pedophillia then? What age was her sister?

Pedophillia would be correct.

Or you could look at it as if he was a wolf...hungry for his prey? I dont know. I'm sure it wasnt Zack's intention to make it like that, but just happened during editing?

Alan Moore didn't have amount of brutal violence in the graphic novel.
Tonally the movie upped the sexual and blood count, but that suited the material.

What were you doing? doodling on your WB notepad?
:monkey4

Not really, there's still violence in that scene, in the fight scene, and the sex scene exists for 2 pages.

Zack upped the violence...but so what? It was a statement on the superhero genre. How it's all happy and bright...and then WHAM. Rorschach slams a cleaver in a child killer's head.

How is it a rape scene? I remember it with Theron beating her around, threatning her, and then she removes her clothes and turns around.

You really have a warped concept of what is rape. He forced her to have sex with him. That is rape.

Here's the thing... people can dislike (or hate) the movie all they want. That's cool. To each his/her own. You have criticisms of the film's technical, aesthetic, story-telling or artistic elements... have at it. I'm not engaging in any debates there whatsoever, because my opinion will be tainted as biased. Staying out of that.

However, if you're going to lay claim to the film's intent or what its true purpose is with some of these crazy over-cooked theories then I'm going to call B.S. on that B.S. and point out that you don't know what the F you're talking about.
