Saw Sucker Punch over the weekend. Its actually a very badass movie and i thought it was great. Im almost sad to see the critics pan it and it flop over the weekend. Snyder really delivered amazing action and the girls were suprisingly compelling and the real world story was very cool. Very Well done! Plus the girls were so hot!!!!!!!!!!!!

This thread has gotten way off course - I think any reasonable person would agree that the coercive sex in 300 is rape. And there's the teenage girl oracle and the old priests - that qualifies as well. But as the scene in Watchmen is from the source material, so are the scenes in 300.

But I don't see Sucker Punch as misogynistic, but I can see how the reviewers are perceiving it that way.

No. I have't seen the movie. Never read any version of the actual script. And I never sat in any production meetings and was never on set. In fact, I don't know a single thing about this movie, what its real themes are or what is actually happening in any of the scenes. I'll defer to your expertise.
