I can't discuss why the new Spider-Man flick is useless to anyone, because they don't care. Rightfully so.

But here.....it's like I punched a baby in the face, and then lit it on fire.


Also, they have nothing to say, for you. But if you hated the said thing, you'd be right there with 'em.

There's a certain type of writer that has made an industry out of turning their noses up. It's nothing new, but it does seem to dominate internet content and it doesn't serve a purpose other than to flatter the limp egos of the writer and their audience.

As for criticizing this movie, I think the fans are being pretty mild in this thread. The real enthusiasm comes across as belonging to those who have a vested interest in being certain that all of us know that they didn't like it.

I like the trailers for Suckerpunch and mostly it was because it looked like a Hot Chick action flick. I watched the movie and was incredibly disappointed.

Then a few weeks ago i got caught up in HT BD's pre release and thought i would watch the movie again to see if it hyped me for the figure. I ended up just feeling what a waste of a movie again.

I still think the Babydoll figure is a great HT figure though.

I dont think i will ever willingly watch the movie a 3rd time.

For anyone whose a fan of the main actress, may I recommend a creepy little movie she did called Sleeping Beauty. You will never look at old dudes quite the same...

I do agree. But it's the way of the internet. And it comes with enjoying something that most people don't.

It does, and I can live with it. I've had a lot of practice.

That is because you either didn't "get" Cabin In The Wood or you don't nibble on Whedon's Weenie.

Cabin in the Woods is clever.

This movie, is pretty messy. I like the movie, and I even have a hard time trying to make sense of it. I thought I did, but then Zack said other wise, so whatever.

It's really visually detailed with beautiful action. But as for the story...I don't know. It didn't need to be that confusing. It could've still kept the twists, and deeper meanings...

That was my only problem with it. He needed to be completely clear with what he was doing, and then he needed to express it clearly. I don't think he finished the job, but I love the theme, and the combination of music and visuals is excellent. Reminds me a lot of Coppola's Dracula in that sense.

I enjoyed what he was trying to do...but I wish he did it better.

I still don't think the movie is this godawful piece of ____. But I don't consider it good.

He's an extremely talented stylist, and not the first to be disproportionately gifted in that department. Tarantino often has the same problem. He compromises substance for style. Inglourious Basterds could have been a much better movie.

I think it's almost perfect. But that's me. I love everything about IB.

Well, Kill Bill was perfect. So was Death Proof (though not as epic).

IB needed work.

I did too, especially how he used language to advance the plot. Brilliant stuff, but I couldn't stand things like this...

It just had no place and it killed the mood.

I liked it in Kill Bill, but it seemed smoother there. It had a 70's atmosphere to it, so using stuff from 70's tv and movies fit the style. I wanted Basterds to be straight WWII. Those hiccups were jarring.

It's only a matter of personal preference though. The problems in Sucker Punch are more objective.

I guess. I like genre bending. It gives the movie an interesting flair.

Kinda one of the reasons I like Sucker Punch in a way.
