It's going to be more than just a standard "Art of..." book. If you recall, they actually did 3 separate books for WATCHMEN: An Art of, a Making of, and Clay's Photo book. Well this time they're going with a different approach and releasing one book with pretty much a nice mixture of everything: Art, Behind The Scenes stuff, Portrait photos, etc. Zack, Clay and Alex Pardee are all working on it together.

Awesome. Ordered.

I am a total sucker for 'Art/Making of' books, I have the Art of Watchmen and it is great, so I know this one is gonna be amazing! Can't wait to see the concept art for the Big Robot, the samurai and the dragons as well as the girls.

I think I might have to pick up that book.

Yeah. The plan is to have at least 1-2 of the items on the market in the March/April timeframe of the movie's release. Of course, it is Gentle Giant and we know how that goes. But Zack has been pretty hands on with these so I'm sure he'll stay on them as much as he can.

I agree. Don't know if it will happen, though. Apparently, they wanted to keep the collectibles at a minimum and Zack actually approached GG, not the other way around. However, I think the buzz at SDCC (and since) may make them realize that there is potential for more cool stuff. They won't go overboard like they did with WATCHMEN for sure, but I'm betting we'll see more than just the GG statues.

Awesome. I know the movie won't be out until March, but I am just so in love the the character designs and look of this movie already. I hope to see lots more cool stuff!

Yeah, there is definitely a lot of potential for cool stuff there. This thing is nuts and has it all: All of the archetypes for fairy tales, fantasy, sci-fi, history, burlesque, ancient japan, war, etc... all rolled into one package presented by 5 ass-kicking hot chicks in cool outfits. I'm honestly surprised no one thought of it before.
